I have seen owners cosplaying with their dolls and was quite interested. It's one of the reasons I got Elliot. I'm about to go to a convention with Elliot in about a month or two and I have some tips if you go cosplaying with your bjd. Keep in mind that this isn't tips for bringing your doll to a convention, but rather, how to care for their cosplay while managing your and some other small tips. If you want to cosplay with your doll, go for it. The first tip I have is to get yourself a carrying case for your doll. Elliot's carrying case is coming in soon and I would advise to get one a little bigger than your doll(s). It will protect your doll and it can catch any of your doll's cosplay if it falls off. It can also hold maintenance items, such as a toothbrush, or a magic eraser. If your hands feel tied, just put your doll in your case. You doll might be smaller than mine, but resin can get heavy quickly. The next tip I have is to keep your cosplays simple. You wouldn't want to manage your armor while caring for a set of mini armor, right? I'm planning on cosplaying Mabel from Gravity Falls and Elliot will go as Dipper. Hold off your more detailed armors for another con. One more tip I'll give is to make your cosplays if you can. It's fun and you'll bond with your doll! I used real clothes to make Elliot's cosplay and it looks okay in my opinion! We bonded more and it it gave me practice in sewing doll clothes. All in all, just have fun with cosplaying with your doll! It's a unique experience so far and I'm enjoying it!
