I found out about bjds when I was around eleven, ongoing to twelve. I was interested and even begged my mom to help me get one (she wasn't impressed). I did a bunch of research and really wanted to prove that I could get one (I didn't even know that recasts existed, but luckily I didn't get a bjd). I didn't get one that year of 2015-2016 and I soon forgot about them for some time. From my last chapter, you read that I am about to go into high school (as of 2018-2019) when I got Elliot (my first bjd). This is the year that I essentially 'rediscovered' bjds and did much, much more research (including research about recasts). I got some help from reading a bunch of old discussion threads from doa and started to watch a bjd Youtuber called Swandzz (she's very popular in the bjd community). I was ecstatic when I had the chance to get my first bjd and when I got him, it was like I was born all over again. One of the things I plan on doing is cosplaying with him to a local anime convention and maybe going to a doll convention with him. I'm pretty lonely outside of school and when Elliot's around, I feel happy. I love him a lot and even though he's always really salty, I know he loves me. He listens to me when I feel sad or mad and that's what I want in a friend. I know some bjd owners consider their bjds their children, but I am still young and I don't really think of Elliot in that way. He's a companion and I'm sure it'll stay that way from then on out. Thanks for reading this really long chapter! I'm going to make a new q and a video about bjds and the bjd community so please leave questions in the comments! Thanks for read and stay awesome~
