Chapter 6

Levi's POV

I continued to wait outside the school building that was now pretty much deserted. I let out a small 'tch' and rolled my eyes, bringing the cigarette to my mouth and taking another drag as I waited impatiently. 'Where the fuck is he? that brat is the one who wanted to-'

"Those things can kill you, yah know?" A voice came from behind me, cutting my mental complaint short. I quickly turned on my heal, only to come face to face with Eren. "Tch, 'bout time brat. Where the hell where you?" I asked bitterly as I began walking at a brisk pace, Eren's footsteps quickly following.

"I was just.. using the bathroom" he finally answered, laughing nervously as he rubbed the back of his neck. His nervous tone caused me to throw him a sceptical glance, only to holt completely when I was it. There. On his left cheek.

"You filthy shit! You've got something in your face" I quickly pulled out a napkin and whipped the red substance off of Eren's face, causing him to turn even more red then the liquid now smudged on the napkin. I quickly disposed of the filthy thing into a near by trashcan and continued walking.

After a few minutes silence I realised I'd have to be the one to break the silence, "so, where will it me? Your place?" I asked casually, shoving my hands in the pockets of my hoodie. "NO!"

Eren's POV

"I-I mean... why don't we go to your place instead? My rooms a complete mess-" Levi quickly cut me off with a wince and started heading towards the direction of his house. I sighed in relief as I followed alongside him, 'That was too close...'

-- At Levi's House--

A large smirk spread across my face as I entered Levi's room. I slid my school bag off my shoulder and placed it gently onto the floor, and started making my way towards his bed. "You don't mind if I sit here do you..?" He noticeably tensed before replying through gritted teeth, "not at all".

Just as I was about to open my mouth the bedroom door swung open, "Levi! Your late-..." the woman who I recognise as Levi's mother went silent on seeing me, I shuffled, faking nervousness to claim innocence. Her face suddenly lit like a match as she stood up straight.

"Levi! Is this your boyfriend? He's so cute!" She gasped, dramatically placing her hands on each side of her face, causing me to giggle at her childish behaviour. She was rewarded by a death glare from her son and him dryly saying the words, "No." To say this stung would be an understatement, the simple two letter word pierced my heart like a knife. 'Am I still not good enough? I don't understand'

I felt my eyes begin to burn as I help back tears and hung my head, a small gasp was heard as Kuchel hurried to my aid. "Honey, what's the matter!" She asked worriedly, I quickly racked my brain for an excuse as my sorrow was replaced with worry.

"I-... you're just so nice" I looked up, now looking directly into her silver eyes that strongly resembled Levi's. 'There so beautiful, I could cut them out and keep them forever..' She looked taken aback for a short second before embracing me in a warming hug and chuckling softly, "I'm flattered dear but you really worried me, I thought you were upset" she spoke softly, running her fingers threw my hair.

I smiled brightly and rubbed my eyes, "Sorry Mrs. Ackerman.." hearing a grunt of disapproval from across the room finally motivated me to stand on my own two feet and walk towards my school bag, pulling out a flask of water. By the time I'd turned back around Kuchel was being forcefully pushed out of the room by an annoyed looking Levi, as soon as he shut the door I put on a sheepish smile.

"What the fuck was that?" He spat dryly, I quickly placed my bottle down and made my way over to him. I placed both hands on his chest and looked down to meet him grey eyes that resembled liquidised steal in his angered state. "I'm sorry" I said softly, welcoming the light blush that busted my cheeks. His eyes widen as he looked up at me before quickly pushing my hands away and sitting on his bed, crossing his arms across his chest.

He looked at me with his all too familiar pokerface as I made my way over to him, finally taking my rightful place on his lap. "Levi" I mumbled,  connecting our lips before he could push me away.

Though I appeared to be calm the whole while, I nearly had a heart attack when he began to kiss back and let himself fall against the mattress. Gradually, the kiss became more passionate and quick. I had just parted my lips to the feeling of Levi asking for entrance when a ringtone filled the room, causing Levi to pull away. I shot daggers at the mobile device as he walked towards it and picked up the phone.

"What the FUCK do you want four- eyes!" His eyes quickly widen as he begins to stare into space.

All I could hear was:
"Are you sure?"
Silence.
"When did this happen?"
Silence.
"Oh my god...."

Levi quickly hung up the phone and turned to me, a slightly sad look in his usually emotionless eyes. 

"Petra's dead."
