"Scarlett,"

"Hm?"

"Your plate is full."

Her eyes fell on her plate to find it still untouched as she realized that she wasn't there but in her own state of mind.

"Y-yeah, sorry." After her grandma and aunt left, she was left in full shock, her mother was there all along, was trying to reach for her and she just knew about it.

She hasn't cried yet, maybe it was what made her spacing out a lot for the rest of the day. She wanted to tell them about it but she couldn't, Aunt Jane said that this isn't supposed to be mentioned to anyone, but Scarlett finds it hard to maintain her patients right now.

"Scarlett, are you OK?" Her father asked. From the result of her spacing out she still didn't hear him yet. attention was all on her while she didn't notice until Sean kicked her from under the table.

"What the fúck is wrong with you!?" She snapped badly at him, getting everyone on the table startled of her sudden change of mood.

"Scarlett, cursing isn't allowed in this house for your information," her father scolded glaring at her and that's when she turned to him. "Oh really? You tell me how your not aware of how this house curse?" She asked, taking everyone by surprise. Not because she talked back which was typical.

"Great dad, just great!" She clapped her hands leaving everyone confused. "Since we are talking about what is allowed and not in this house, why don't you tell us why is aunt Jane not allowed in her brother's house?" She asked with wide eyes. The room fell to its silence where a daughter and her father just stare at each other.

"Come on, dad. We all deserve to know the reason why! she is not! allowed in this house!" She banged her fists on the table with every word.

"Scarlett watch your words, his your father-"

"Shut up! Just shut up and let him talk, for once don't control him and act all innoc-"

"I've had enough of you, Scarlett!" He stood up with anger and madness. "Morgan is my wife now and you should have accepted it a long time ago as your brothers did..." She was heavily breathed from anger.

"When are you going to grow up? When will you ever act like one of us because I'm tired of your behavior and acting? You have zero respect towards me, let alone having respect for your brothers and mainly Morgan!" He angrily spat making everyone on the table stand. Scarlett stood up because she had more to say too.

"Then why don't you send me back to mom if you think I'm a burden to you and your wife?! Why bare and suffer with me when you can just get me to mom?!" Tears were threatening to fall by now and she made sure not to crack or shutter at all because she wasn't near something called Weak.

"Because she left with her own wish and will never come back! She is probably dead by now while Morgan had to suffer every day to have you around the house as a youngster kid you are! You always cause problems for me and my family! I'd imagine my life here without a nuisance daughter like you!"

No, he did not just say that.

He stopped after that, he stopped when he realized his mistake but it was too late because Scarlett was already on the edge of sobbing after his words. It broke her into parts, she had never thought he would ever imagine her out of his life.

"Thank you, dad. You just stated how much you hate me and you wish that I was never here," she scoffs with tears running down but she still had a fake smile.

"Scarl-"

"You know what? It's fine, I understand your points. In the end, I am a youngster that only caused you and your family problems and nothing much." She cuts him off. By now he had full regrets of what he just spilled causing more mess while she had to stay up on her feet to not break down and cry from the unbearable pain she felt.

"I hope you have a beautiful dinner with your family because apparently, I'm not one or even unwanted." She said and was about to run up to her room when she felt the need to say one thing.

"Oh- and one last thing. Fúck you... Daddy."

And here she ways, sobbing away from her family just like how this story started.

THIRD•PERSON

Her feet dragged her away from what she called family, but those words were so difficult to let out after this while she thought of how betrayed she was.

"Scarlett, get back on the table." Scarlett knew how furious was he getting after what she told him, she would know definitely how the stars in the morning we're going to be, beautiful?

"No!" And with that, she seals her door room harshly behind her because the sound of footsteps coming was heard sharply and they were no other than her fathers, Adam.

"SCARLETT, I SAID OPEN THE DOOR" the yelling of her father was so loud and the banging on her door was making her frightened of her father for the first time. "GO BACK TO YOUR WIFE AND YOUR SONS!" yet she still was talking back.

If she could express the feeling she was in then she'd cry for the first time for it, it pained her to the point where she wanted to stay away from everyone in this world, everyone but one person.

"Scarlett!"

"Leave me alone!" She felt so incapable like this, and when she rubs her eyes, fresh tears started pouring down in terror of her father.

"Scarlett, open the door or I'll break it!" Her father was angry, so angry that he was unquestionably gonna accomplish his promise, his promise to hit her.

"So you could come and break me too?! I'll go back mom so you could be at ease!" With every blink, her eyes would blink down tears.

"Stop getting her on every situation! She left us, she is dead!" Eyes, nose, and cheeks are red as she sobbed.

"But she's not dead to me... I'll go back to her, I promise" and shortly, she was able to hear sniffling from the other side. She assumed to hurt her father, how he hurt her too. And she'd put the blame on no other than Morgan, the wife of her father, her stepmother.
