Chapter 4

Rachel spun the chair around fast and I gasped in surprise. I looked into the mirror wonder if there was any of ME left! My long brown hair is gone, replaced with shoulder length bleach blonde curls, my eyebrows were waxed, I got a spray tan, Shelby gave me brown contacts to hide my green eyes, and all my body hair was dyed bleach blonde. Let me say it again- ALL.

I was captivated by the person in the mirror. Was this truly me? It looked as if the mirror were gone and it was someone else standing across from me.

I had to pinch myself. This isn't real, this can't be happening!

This isn't me.

"Shocking isn't it? I think so. Blonde does wonders for the contours of your face, Maddie," Rachel inturrupted my little serenade by calling me that dreadful name.

"It's Madeline. And thanks, I guess."

"Look at 'er! She be's a thinkin that it ain' even 'er in the mirror," Eppie remarked.

"Yeah. I- I'm not....me." I replied.

"Well you're stunning, madeline. Don't even doubt it. I'm a little jealous myself, in fact," Kaelee said," Hey Rach, what color did you put in her hair?"

"Eh, let me see....uh....Ah! Sunshine Blossom Blume In The Midday Sun Of Summer,"

 "Hmmm...Do we have enough time to do me some hi lights before the plane lands?" Kaelee asked, twirling strands of her already bleach blonde hair while lookiing in the mirror.

"Derrierre, please go ask the pilot or dale when we are to land, okay?" Rachel asked her.

Derrierre walked away without uttering a word. I burst out laughing. Derrierre!!!! HAHAHA! who in their right mind would name their kid that!?!? HAAHAA!

"Hey, I know what you are thinking. I joined the crew last month and I couldn't stop laughing. Her parents must've been on crack when they named her!!" Kaelee read my mind.

"I heard that Kaelee!" Derrierre stormed back into the room,"It's not funny! My parents were great people! Derrierre is french you know? They gave me a sophisticated name, more sophisticated than yours Kaelee!"

"Ha! Sophisticated my butt!!!!" Kaelee laughed at her own joke. I easily joined in and we were having a great time.

"now guys, thats not nice," Rachel said while chuckling.

Derrierre stalked away and sat a few rows ahead of the station.

"Wait, you forgot to tell us what time we land!" Kaelee called out.

"What time we land my Butt!!" Derrierre responded.

Even Shelby laughed at that one. We were all chorused in giggles when the pilot announced that we would be landing in an hour.

I went to go gather my things for landing.

Kaelee came over and asked me for my cell number. I gave it to her and we sat and talked for the remainder of the time. We landed easily. Just a few bumps on the lane.

I disembarked and grabbed my luggage. I looked about until I saw a sign that said: 'Madge Patterson'.

I highly doubted that anyone else here had that name.

I was escorted to the car and I climbed in. Another five minutes or so later I was at Monthaven Apartments. I stopped at the realty office first to confirm my stay and grab some keys. I then ventured upstairs to 11D.

My room was pre-furnished by Derek and his crew. From where I was standing in the doorway I could see everything. To my right was a granite bar with three stools. it had an amazing kitchen inside it. The hallway was carpeted and so was the living room. The carpet was beige and the couch was a velvet creme as well.

the couch was up against the back wall facing a TV and it also had a Balcony to it's right.

To the left from the door was my bed and bath. Derek's exquisite interior design never caeses to amaze me! It was great!

I quickly unpacked and looked at my task list. First was to go buy $200 worth of groceries from Publix. I did as I was instructed.

I arrived at Publix and made my way through.

I was a health food freak, what can I say? I zoomed through the produce section getting plenty enough and when I got to the freezer section I spotted my weakness.

Bananna Popsickles.

You may think I am crazy for liking them, but without them I would die. They weren't really in budget but I figured a little over wouldn't hurt. I grabbed them and spun around to put them in my buggy and slammed right in to a cutie.

He was tall and had shaggy hair. He was a hottie. I mean he was fine!! I blushed.

"Hey,"

"I am so sorry! i wasn't looking I should have been more careful. Are you okay/" he asked me. His eyes sparkled.

"Oh, I am fine, don't worry about it!" I said.

I extended my hand.

"Madge Patterson" I said. he shook it and replied.

"Hi, I am Trey Carson,"
