The Greatest Showman (2017)
Genre: Drama, Musical
Plot Summary: Inspired by the imagination of P. T. Barnum, The Greatest Showman is an original musical that celebrates the birth of show business & tells of a visionary who rose from nothing to create a spectacle that became a worldwide sensation.
Review: You know, I could listen the film's soundtrack all day and will love it even more. The songs were just simply beautiful, catchy, memorable and melodious. This movie, however, is anything but. Sure, The Greatest Showman is a really sweet feel-good film and the valuable lessons about acceptance is something to reflect upon but the problem I had with this movie was the script. It could've been better but it was terribly-written and the execution felt flat everytime. The characters were bland and the ending also felt rushed. I'm fine with rewatching this in the near future but I will probably just watch the musical numbers again and again and nothing more.
Rating: 5/10 (Mediocre)
