Six years ago
There were two young twins, merely one year apart. There was Ciel Phantomhive, a twelve year old boy, then there was Ciella Phantomhive, an eleven year old girl. They were always happy together with their parents, Rachel and Vincent Phantomhive. They would make sure that the twins were always joyous and never sad, but that all changed on one dark night. A fire had started and it began to engulf the manor in orange flames. The twins were in panic as they ran around, crying, trying to find their parents. When they finally found them, Rachel and Vincent were surrounded by the fire, already burning away to ashes. Ciella's eyes had widened as she screamed, Ciel cried as well as he watched for a moment. Then he quickly grabbed her hand, running through the smoke-filled halls. He wanted out of the burning manor and to get his sister to safety. That was all he cared about. Her safety. When they had finally made it out of the manor, they were covered in ashes, swelling burns and tear streaked faces. Then something else occurred. A gang of men dressed in pure white cloaks nabbed Ciel and began taking him away.
"Ciel!!!" Ciella cried out, running towards him but she was struck to the head, making her slip into darkness.
When she finally awoke, Ciel and the men were gone but the manor was still burning to the ground. She was all alone. Ciella's eyes searched around as she broke out into a painful sob. Frowning and crying, she stood and walked into the heart of London. The streets were damp and cold. Unwelcoming to anyone, especially a child. She hoped someone would come and help her so she could save her brother but no one came to her aid. "Please..someone...anyone..help..." She said, her voice merely a whisper. She kept strolling the streets through the night. A figure appeared and began to walk towards the young orphan. The figure had long silver hair, long bangs that covered his eyes and wore a long black robe with a hat adorned with a tail. His long, black finger nails touched his lips as he looked down at the burnt, crying bluenette. Bending down, he looked at her tear stained eyes.
"What's wrong, Young One? Are you lost?" He asked, his voice sounded creepy but highly concerned for the child.
Ciella looked at the man that had approched her, giving him a weak shake of her head. More tears escaped her swollen red eyes. "M-my family...the manor is burning to the ground a-and big brother...all gone.." She couldn't stop the flow of her tears. "He's been taken. Please, Sir. Will you help me?" She asked, her voice filled with sadness and worry. Most of all, fear.
The haunting man stared at her carefully, he knew he has seen this girl somewhere. He pondered for a moment then snapped his fingers in triumph. It was at the Phantomhive manor. "Little Lady Phantomhive.." He sighed softly to himself as he picked her up into his arms. "Come on, Young One, let us go somewhere safe." He began to walk away from the dark alley and to his parlor shop.
"B-but my brother!" She cried. "He needs to be saved, he's in trouble. He needs hel-" She suddenly began to cough horribly and grow a very high fever. Her body gave out against the man's chest and his arms tightened around her in a protective manner. He wasn't about to let this young one run around the streets hurt and abandon.
"Poor girl...there's no one left to come to her aid..may the Angels have mercy.." He said in a forbidden prayer."She needs a new home so maybe.." As he walked, he decided to take her in as his own. He was going to raise her as his daughter from this day forward. Once he traversed through dark streets, he arrived at his shop. It was marked as the Undertaker.
"Welcome to your new home, Young One." The man smiled at the sleeping girl as he walked into his shop, closing the doors for years to come.
