Memory
It was a beautiful, bright day in London, the Phantomhive twins were joyfully playing in the gardens, their parents sitting at the outside table, enjoying a nice cup of tea. Ciel and Ciella chased each other around the garden, giggling happily. It was always lovely and gleeful, never sad at the Phantomhive manor. During the day, the silver haired man, Undertaker, would drop by from time to time and talk to Vincent in his study. The twins would always wonder what they would talk about and why their daddy would talk to such a man like the Undertaker. One day when they were secretly listening in, they accidentally heard something that they shouldn't have.
End of Memory
Ciella woke up from her sleep, screaming incoherent words. She sat up and looked into the dark of the room. Night had fallen on the city. She clutched her sheets tightly to her chest as she tried to calm her breathing. Once she realized she was in her room, she got up from her bed. She heard faint sounds coming from the front of the parlor. Ciella stood to investigate.
Undertaker was still awake, working away on the body he had acquired recently that day. Everything was intact except two things. The heart and ring finger. He was happily humming as he fixed up his "guest." His ears picked up a small creak on the wooden floor and he turned to see the source of the noise.
Ciella was standing in the doorway watching him work.
"Ah, Ciella. You've awakened." He grinned as he adjusted his lantern towards the drowsy girl.
Ciella only nodded. "I had that dream again.." She whispered as she looked down.
Undertaker made a sound with his tongue and sat her down by a coffin. "Tell me all about it."
"Well, I'm playing outside with a little boy. Two people are watching us, a man and a woman. I see you in my dream then nothing..." She frowned to herself as she thought. "What does it mean?"
Undertaker looked upon the still drowsy girl, a frown dancing upon his pale lips. "I don't know, treasure. I don't know." He said, holding her close to his chest. In truth he did know, but was afraid that if Ciella knew the truth she would be hurt and with her illness in tact, that was the last thing she needed, pain and sadness.
Ciella looked up upon her father, a frown dancing on her rose petal lips as well. "Father, are you sure?" She asked. She knew something was wrong and that there was something he was not telling her.
Undertaker just nodded his head, his arms wrapping around her even more. "I'm sure, sweetie. It might just be some crazy dream." He noted, stroking her hair, a frown still playing on his lips. He wondered if he should inform the Earl and his butler about this. Or would that only make it worse and cause trouble? He would have to inform them without Ciella knowing.
A few weeks now passed, Ciella seemed to have been doing better but would still have her small attacks now and then. Undertaker would always keep his eyes on her, making sure she wouldn't collapse or wander outside, away from the parlor. Later in the afternoon, a knock came among the parlor's door. Walking to answer the door, he made sure Ciella was in her room asleep; he had called the Earl and his Butler to talk. One about the case but the other about Ciella, and he figured the butler might have been up to something since their last visit.
"I'm glad you were able to show up, Mi'lord." Undertaker smiled as he closed the door behind the pair.
"You said you had more information on the case? Care to inform us?" Ciel's tone sounded bored and tired. Well, it was a bit early in the morning.
"I called you about the case but I also called you for another reason, Earl." He suddenly became serious, which was rare for the Undertaker.
This caught Ciel's attention along with Sebastian's. "Oh? What other reason would you call us here for?" He asked, brow raised.
