*Nicolle's P.O.V*
"Nicolle," Zayn begun, grabbing my hand, trying to comfort me. Unamused by his actions, I pulled my hands out of his grasp, frowning. Sighing, he dropped his arms as he continued, "I know what Cassidy explained was sort of true, but can you please find it in your heart to forgive me?"
Letting out a heavy sigh, I thought about it. Maybe I should forgive him. You know, give him another chance.
Woah, I thought, Hold it up. You're not actually thinking about this, are you? He had two years to contact you, two years, and he chose not to. Your forgiveness is too valuable to give him.
"I'm sorry Zayn," I frowned. "but I can't."
Sadness flashed behind his eyes as his shoulders sunk a bit, "Well, can you at least let me explain?" He questioned. Seeing a bit of hope glint in his eyes, I actually felt a surge of sympathy tingle at my heart.
"Ugh. Fine." I agreed. "I guess I could do that." A smile immediately forming upon his lips, I extended the doorway, granting him entry. In electrifying speed, he enveloped me in a bone crushing hug.
Gasping, I awkwardly pat his back. Feeling his hot breath tickle my skin, I smiled.
"Nicolle!" Cassidy madly cried, causing us to pull away, "are you being serious?"
Lightly smiling, I shrugged my shoulders. Staring back at Zayn, I said, "It wouldn't hurt to hear them out."
"Yeah Cassidy," Louis piped in, "at least let us explain." Rolling her eyes, she scoffed. "Plus, you can not deny that you haven't missed us."
I smiled a bit. Same old Louis.
"No, I haven't." She fought back, "Now if you will exuse me, I am going to go into my room and lock myself in there until this dreadful day is over, and all of you are gone." Watching her stomp away, I sighed, as Zayn rubbed my shoulders. Sliding his hand off I looked at them all.
"I think I should talk to her." I stated, walking away. Hearing footsteps behind me, a pair of hands stopped my tracks, turning my body around. "I don't think that's a good idea." Niall said, frowning.
Squinting my eyes, I shook my head, "Why is that?"
"Well," He started, "considering you agreed to this first, I think that you are the last person she wants to talk to."
"Oh, and your are?" I laughed, resting my hands against my hips.
"No, but I still think I should do it." He nodded.
Sighing, I agreed, "Fine."
Smiling, he cheered, "Ok, great. You three go wait in the living room and in ten minutes Cassidy will be in there "
"Are you sure?" I uncertainly asked. Nodding, he ran ahead.
"Louis, I'll need your help." He called out as he turned around the corner. Squealing, Louis followed after him.
Thinking about Cassidy, guilt filled my thoughts. She took the whole break-up much worse than I. She really loved Harry, more than I did for Zayn, I think. Groaning, I, including the rest, strolled into the living room. We didn't have couches since we left all of our furniture back in New Jersey. So, having to compromise, we just threw a couple of blankets on the floor and used them as cushions. They weren't as comfortable as the originals, but at least we weren't sitting on the bare floor.
"So," Zayn started, taking the seat next to me. Shocker, "how you've been? You know since we left."
Pursuing my lips, I thought of what I did. "Well, Cassidy and I graduated from college."
"Congratulations."
"Uh, thanks." I smiled. "Anyways, things have been 'really' different since Cass and I returned home. Everyone suddenly wanted to become our friends, especially the populars, mostly because we hanged out with the famous, One Direction." He chucked. "Our parents have been super over protective towards us which was kind of a shocker to us when they let us move here."
"Well maybe they trust you. I mean I would." Zayn informed.
I glared at him, "Well I wish I could say the same for you."
Liam 'oh'ed'. Raising his hands up in defense, he drops the conversation.
"Now back to what I was saying. Life for us has been like....a dream. A weird, surreal dream that never seems to stop."
After a minute of silence, Liam slices it. "Wow. Great life story." Narrowing my eyes I looked at them both.
"Well, enough about me. How have you guys been?"
Happily, Zayn answered first. "Well, One Direction has been a big hit. Successful in the songs and most importantly with the ladies." Showing no emotion to what he said, I nodded. "We've been on tour all over the country for the last year, performing concerts and participating in signings . Were finally on break, so the lads and I all decided to find a flat here in London. And that's about when we were reunited with you two." Smiling at the end, he looked at Liam who nodded.
"Ok. Looks like you two had a regular year."
"We als-" Quieting down, Cassidy, followed by Niall and Louis, entered the room. Amazed as to how Niall and Louis managed to pry her out of her room, I shockingly looked at Zayn. Giving me a shrug he looked back at them, as I did too.
Obviously sensing the awkward energy rising throughout us, Cassidy snapped, "What!?"
Quickly looking away, we all mumbled faint nothings.
Rolling her eyes, she swiftly gazed around the room, avoiding the situation of talking to us. Louis and Niall casually parted from Cassidy's side and sat right next to Zayn and I.
Quietly returning back to our conversations, Liam asked Cassidy if she wanted to take the empty seat next to him. Taking his offer, she hesitantly sat down, looking slightly uncomfortable.
"Why are we sitting on blankets?" Louis confusingly asked, lifting up a piece of the fabric.
"We didn't bring our furniture."
I stated.
He nods, "Oh."
"I thought it was an unusual idea to leave all of our furniture behind to end up buying new ones. I mean, it made no sense what so ever and to be honest was sort of stupid." Cassidy joined the conversation.
"Well, I would of brought it, but I thought it was a good idea to get a new set," I said with a bit of an attitude, "something we both agreed on."
"Whatever." She rolled her eyes.
"Um...anyways." Zayn cuts in, sifting in his seat. "How about we cut to the explanation."
"Sure," Cassidy sighed. He looked at me, waiting for my answer.
"Uh, yeah."
