*Cassidy's P.O.V*
"Are we there yet?" Louis asked for the thousandth time since we left my flat. This boy was really starting to work up my nerves.
"No, Louis," Harry sighed, rubbing his face from the aggravation Louis was causing him, "for the tenth time, we are not there yet."
"Awhh," Louis whined, pouting out his bottom lip like a little kid, crossing his arms, "how much longer?"
"I don't know," Harry shook his head, trying to focus on the road ahead of him, "depends on the traffic, but not much longer I hope."
Becoming irritated and tired, I rested my head against Liam's shoulder. Immediately he looked up at me from his phone and smiled, "Bored love?"
I nodded, a yawn escaping my mouth afterwards, "Very."
He only chuckled, logging off his twitter as placed his phone in his front pocket, gently wrapping his arm around my waist before he pulled me closer to him. "Is that better?" He questioned, slightly squeezing my shoulder. I smiled and nodded, snuggling into his side to get more comfortable.
I closed my eyes, trying to find some peace and quiet around Louis' nagging voice heard in the background. Unfortunately for me, and everyone else, he only became louder and more impatient as the seconds passed. Having no choice in the manner, I was forced to stay awake.
I hummed along to the song that was currently playing from the speakers, finding myself getting into it. "Hey, can you turn this up?" I asked Harry who was in the middle of arguing with Louis. He ignored whatever he was trying to tell him, turning to me before nodding, turning up the volume. In seconds, Dark Horse blasted through the speakers instantly causing the car to vibrate and shake.
"So you wanna play with magic, boy, you should know whatcha falling for," my voice melted in with Katy Perry's as I began singing along. "Baby do you dare to do this, 'cause I'm coming atcha like a dark horse..."
I was soon joined in by Niall and Nicolle, "Are you ready for, ready for, a perfect storm, a perfect storm, 'cause once you're mine, once you're mine, there's no going back.." They danced in their seats, going along with the beat as they pretended to be Katy, Niall flipping his imaginary hair. I laughed, shaking my head at them, feeling the frustration I was experiencing minutes ago fade.
"Mark my words, this love will make you levitate, like a bird, like a bird without a cage, but down to earth, if you choose to walk away, don't walk away..." I felt Liam's body vibrate against mine as he too started singing. I lifted my head off his shoulder, finding myself instantly smiling as I listened in awe as he sang. I've always loved his voice. It was so unique and angelic, like Harry's, but obviously when compared they were much different. Even to this day, their talent never ceased to amaze me.
He took my hand in his swinging it side to side as he urged me to dance with him. I laughed at his childish behavior, rarely seeing this side of Liam as I found myself giving in. Letting the music speak to me, I let myself go along with him, "So you wanna play with magic, boy, you should know whatcha falling for, baby do you dare to do this, 'cause I'm coming atcha like a dark horse. Are you ready for, ready for, aperfect storm, a perfect storm, 'cause once you're mine, once you're mine, there's no going back."
My mind was focused on the lyrics, making my mind feel high with the melody. I looked around finding not only myself feeling the song, but everyone else as well. Even Kyle, who's been kept to himself this whole time.
"She's a beast, I call her Karma, she eat your heart out, like Jeffrey Dahmer, be careful, try not to lead her on, shawty's heart was on steroids, 'cause her love was so strong, "we all scream out in unison. "You may fall in love, when you meet her, if you get the chance you better keep her, she swears by it but if you break her heart, she turn cold as a freezer, that fairy tale ending with a knight in shining armor, she can be my Sleeping Beauty, I'm gon' put her in a coma.."
"Woo! Damn I think I love her," Niall tried mimicking Juicy J causing all of us to burst into hysterics. We then cheered him and Kyle on as he too joined him in the process, "Shawty so bad, I'm sprung and I don't care, she got me like a roller coaster, turn the bedroom into a fair, her love is like a drug, I was tryna hit it and quit it, but lil' mama so dope, I messed around and got addicted."
I knew we all probably looked ridiculous to the other people in traffic around us, but unfortunately for them that was the last of our worries at the moment. We're living life to the fullest, as I always say, and we were having too much damn fun to stop.
After the song ended, another one of my favorites took its place. Immediately, I started singing along to Sia as she spoke the lyrics that belonged to Chandelier, " Party girls don't get hurt, can't feel anything, when will I learn? I push it down, push it down. I'm the one "for a good time call", phone's blowin' up, ringin' my doorbell, I feel the love, feel the love..." The melody was upbeat and funky which I loved.
"1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, drink," Nicolle jumped in with me whilst taking a sip from her water bottle, substituting it for alcohol, "1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, drink, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, drink. Throw 'em back 'til I lose count, I'm gonna swing from the chandelier, from the chandelier, I'm gonna live like tomorrow doesn't exist, like it doesn't exist, I'm gonna fly like a bird through the night, feel my tears as they dry, I'm gonna swing from the chandelier, from the chandelier.."
For the rest of the car ride we sang every song that switched on the channel we had on, having the time our lives. It was in this moment that I realized how much I truly missed the boys and their quirky personalities. They bring so much joy to my life that I honestly have no clue as to how I went on without them these past 2 years, and never again do I want to experience that..
If only I knew then that someone else had other plans in mind.
