Amber's P.o.v.
I laughed as I bolted down the steps. My hair whipping behind me as my feet padded against the hardwood flooring before turning into the crisp sound of leaves under my feet. "Morning Amber!" "How is it going Princess?" "What's the rush kiddo?!" I waved as I passed people. "Hey Mrs. Swin! I'm doing good and told you not to call me that Jackson! Heading to my first brigade meeting!" My voice rang out to their ears as I passed.
I made a turn as I continued down the road. You see, I'm apart of the New Dawn Gang. We are one of the strongest right beside the Crimson Royals who are our biggest rivals. Our gang however is based solely on trust and believing in new beginnings as my dad used to put it. My great Grandparents founded this gang and we have been thriving and only going further up since then.
I whipped the door open to the conference room in our town hall only to see my brothers angry face and a few other shocked ones. "Amber! Why are you barging in here like that? You know damn well how to open the door like a normal person." "Calm down Warren, that's your little sister. Besides it's her first day, who can blame her? She's been waiting practically since birth for this." I grinned and hopped into the seat next to Violet while giving her a fist bump. "Violet gets me." He sighed deeply before smiling.

"Anyhow, now that we have our new member here, we can finally discuss the plans for this upcoming battle." I was practically vibrating from excitement. "As you all know we are going to be undergoing a secret attack on the Earth's epicenter by heading to the battle site early and ambushing them in the street when they arrive. We will be hiding in the old parking garage by the opening and then striking at high noon. This shouldn't be too hard of a fight but it's still a fight regardless so I want all of you on your toes. Understood?" Everyone nodded as Warren continued explaining the process.
Character Info: Warren Hunter- 6'2", 24 years old, greyish blue eyes, Black hair. Warren is a firm and protective natural born leader. Likes: His family and friends, strategies, children(Wants to be a father badly one day) Dislikes: Threats, Potential threats, those he loves in pain.
"Amber, your position is distance fighter." My grin dropped into an unsatisfied frown. "Why can't I be close combat? You know I'm a good fighter!" Warren only shook his head. "You know this is your first mission so naturally you are gonna be more behind the scenes." I slammed my hands on the table. "I am a capable asset!" "You aren't that capable!" I raised my eyebrow. "Excuse me?" Warren sat down in a seat and pinched the bridge of his nose as if he let go of an internal secret. "I said excuse me?!" "You aren't ready for the front lines." "Says who?" He frowned and crossed his arms. "General Hunter." In a jolt of shock my eyes flew open. "You're lying." He looked me in the eyes as he got up and walked up to me. "Amber I'm not trying to be mean, I am respecting you and letting you in on this but you are not strong enough for the front lines. I'm sorry but no." I felt my eyes sting as he grabbed my should but I only shrugged it off. "Amber!" Hazel sa up but I shook my head. "I don't care, whatever. But never tell me I am not strong enough. I was top of my classes." "That was academically." "Whatever, I'll go prepare for the battle." I ignore their shouts to come back.
I groaned as I kicked a rock. The sky above me fading into light shades of red and orange as the end of the day paints the sky.
"This sucks." I mutter to myself as I tug and twirl on a strand of my hair. I begin hiking up on the trail we have until I reach a small opening with a big pond and a big opening of grass. I walk over to the small cliff and look over the trees beneath. "I wonder what it's like out there." I muttered to myself while looking out into the abyss of the unknown.
Me and Warren used to roam all the time before we found this place. Then it all changed, no longer did he want to play or hang out with me but rather just be on his own in his office or room strategizing or training. While he began taking strides into a full out sprint, I took my time to enjoy the scenery. "I wonder if that was the right decision?"
"So this is where you go all the time?" My head turned behind me to see one of the nicest people in our gang. "Cody?" He gave me a peace sign. "Wanna walk a bit?"

I walked beside him with the light sound of grass shifting under our feet. "So you don't want to be in the back? You want to be fighting in the front." I nodded. "I don't know why but Warren just doesn't care." "That's the opposite really." I snapped my head at him. "What?" He turned his eyes to me but continued to look forward. "Warren is protective, yes. But remember why, especially with you." I tilted my head a bit
"Warren acted cocky his first time out on the field and in doing so he almost got shot but instead your dad got a bullet in the shoulder. Remember actions have consequences." I looked downwards as the ground became more interesting all of a sudden.
"I wasn't being too much of a brat earlier was I?" "Yeah you were." I slapped his arm as he laughed with me. "So are you okay now?" "Yeah, i'll be ready for tomorrow. No issue at all." He held his pinky finger out. "Promise you'll get back to us." I smiled and wrapped my smaller pinky finger around his. "You should say that to everyone else." He grinned with me and started heading back. "Come on, we have a big day tomorrow and need rest." I ran to catch up with him before stopping at his side. "Right." With that we headed back. Not fully understanding what the future will hold for us.
