Ross steps in front of me. Knarf sighs. He has purple feathers, minus his "hair" feathers, which are brown. His tail is purple, and he has a yellow beak. He has a silver staff, which he leans against.

"Now, younglie, I gave you my word. No harm will befall you by my hand.", Knarf says, walking closer, with a limp. "What did you mean by 'being safe from that monster'? Do you know him?", Daemyn asks, his wings fluttering.

"He is known as the Bird Crasher. But that is not important. What is important, is that you children need to leave. Follow me." He turns around, and walks toward the mountains to the north. I sigh. Worst case it's 3 against 1? And he's just some old man, right?

I follow behind him. Ross walks up alongside me. "YOU ARE GONNA JUST BELIEVE HIM?", Daemyn asks, grabbing at his orange-brown hair. "Do you want to be murdered?!", I say, turning to him.

He frowns, and shakes his head. "Didn't think so.", I say, continuing after Knarf and Ross. "Fine, but as soon as this goes south, I'm ditching you two." There's a buzz behind us, and I see a shadow above my head.

Daemyn has taken to the skies. We have been walking for what feels like Duhons. (In Central hours). We have walked past the marketplace, crossed the Myoan River, and now overlook the northeastern part of the Byan mountains.

Knarf leads up to the north-east mountains. I stop, to see the sun is setting. "Are we gonna stop soon? We're getting close to Lycixs territory...", I ask Knarf, tugging on his cloak. "Not at all! The Lycixs don't attack for another 2 hours. Plenty of time to get to my house." Knarf continues walking, towards a house in the face of the mountain.

"Is this your house?", Ross asks, pointing up at the house. Knarf cackles. "Oh no! Oh, my dear boy, there is still a distance to be made!" Daemyn groans. "Come on, old man. At least pick up the pace?" Knarf sighs. "You need to be more respectful, young man." Daemyn scoffs. "Whatever, man." Daemyn shrugs. I follow behind Knarf.

After about another 20 axs of walking, we manage to reach the top of the mountain. I look up at Faera (or in Central, the Sun) and can estimate that it's about 1 Duhon away from nightfall.

"Are you sure we can get to your house before nightfall?", I ask him again, looking around for any sign of Lycixs. "It is fine! We'll make it!", Knarf says, waving his wing in the air.

Ross sighs. "Well, you would know better than us, lead on.", Ross says, walking ahead of me, his tail swishing back and forth as he walks. I look at Daemyn, who rolls his red eyes. "I still don't trust this weirdo.", he mutters.

I sigh. "I know.", I say, turning to him. "You can probably go home now, if you wanted to?" Daemyn shakes his head for a good 15 Daraxs (or in Central, seconds). "Alright. Let's go then.", I say, trying to avoid prying into why he seemed so adamant on not going home.

We start the hike down the mountain. If it takes 20 to 30 axs to get up the mountain, how long is it gonna take to get down the mountain? I frown, and rush down towards Knarf and Ross. The buzzing of wings comes from behind me.

"If we die, just know I'm coming back to life, reviving you and the Trymenda, and killing you again myself.", Daemyn says. I stop walking. "We get it, Daemyn. You don't like this, or us.", I say, fluttering up to him.

"You can either stay and not complain, or go and take your complaints with you.", I say, and his eyelids widen. "I'll uh, just be up here, I guess?", he says, his mandibles drooping downwards. I nod. "Alright.", I say, flying back down to the ground.

We start to reach the bottom of the mountain, but Faera is at maximum 10 axs' away from setting. I walk over to Ross, and lean close to him. "Hey.", I whisper. He stops walking. "So, um, trouble may be coming.", I continue in a hushed tone.
