I look at Ross and the Lythonop boy. Poor Marasa... I hope he's okay. "I can't just sit here...", I say, walking towards the door. "Miss Marsa, no!", Ross says, grabbing my red sleeve. "The teacher said to stay here!"

I shake my wing to try and get him to let go, but his claws are tight. The Lythonop boy pushes Ross away from me. "If she wants to endanger herself for him, let her.", he says, stepping backwards, to lean against the wall.

"What are you gonna do?" I ask him, grabbing the door handle. "Me?", he says, his mandibles twitching. "I'm gonna stay as far away from the danger as possible." I sigh. "Fine. I'm gonna check on my fellow Myosan."

I walk out the doors, and see a large group of Myosans crowded in a circle. I run a few feet, and take flight. I fly closer, to see a doctor crouched by Marasa's body. He's covered in blood, wings bent backwards. A slit runs along his neck, blood pouring from it.

The Myosan doctor sighs, and shakes her head. Two of the bystanders cross their wings over their face, and bow, which is a common Myosan sign of reverence. The teacher that told us to stay inside pulls out a sheet, and covers Marasa.

"No...", I say, my left wing covering my beak. The teacher looks up. "Young lady! I told you to stay inside!" I glide to the ground. "I'm sorry." I duck my head. "He-he is, was nice.", I say, and she sighs.

"I'm sorry, dear...", the teacher says. "Miss Marsa?" I sniff, and turn around. Ross, with that Lythonop boy behind him, walk up to me. "You okay?" Ross asks. I shake my head. He stands right in front of me. He wraps his arms around me, patting my back.

"Remind me how long you have known this girl?", the Lythonop says, placing his pale, green fingers on Ross's shoulder. "Like 20 minutes max?", Ross says, shrugging. "She has seen a horrible scene! I felt sorry for her..."

The Lythonop rolls his eyes. "Whatever.", he says, he rolls his red eyes again. "Younglies?" We turn, to see that the teacher stood up. "Let's go inside.", she says, waving her wings forwards, towards the school.

I sigh. "Yes, Ma'am.", Ross says, turning around. "C'mon, Miss Marsa, and uh... I actually don't know your name?", Ross says, looking at the Lythonop.

He scoffs. "You don't know for a reason." He walks back towards the school. "What might that be?", I ask, looking back at Marasa's body. "I don't want to be friends! Also, I don't want to have the overly polite Trymenda to be able to call me Mister."

I look at Ross. "Yeah.", I say, rubbing my chin. "Why do you call me Miss Marsa? I'm fine with you calling me Bellatryx." Ross's blue tongue sticks out as he hisses. "Force of habit...with my family.", he mumbles. I shrug. "Alright.", I say, pulling the doors open.

After a short search, I reach my first class; History. As I sit down, as I see Ross walk into the room. "Hi!", he says, pulling out the seat next to me. "Guess we're in the same class." He sets his lesson datapads on the table.

"Guess so.", I say, not knowing what to say. The teacher drops a stack of books onto his desk. "So, Class. I'm your teacher, Nou'pi. Today we're gonna learn about an event you guys were probably not born for."

He picks up the datapad on top of his stack, which is green, and reads;"Why It Happened; The Story of the 2092 Massacre." I wince. That's an interesting way to start the history lesson...

"If you are from off-world, or you live outside of Myaz, you may not know this.", Nou'pi says. "But back in 2092, (that's in Myosan years), there was a conflict with Musonus, our sister planet."

I frown. I haven't heard about this before... I only know about Nyp history. "You see, the Musonusi were jealous of our intellect, and technological advancement, and they launched an attack on this capital."
