"Ow ow ow turn off." I say smacking my phone as if it would magically turn off with a smack.
"Ok fine I'll get up." I groan talking to the phone. I slide off the alarm and stand up.
I head to the bathroom and wash my face. I brush my hair through and brush my teeth.
I go to my closet and try finding an outfit. I decide on a Nike windbreaker with an undershirt. I put on some black leggings and checkered vans and head downstairs.
"Hey mom." I say sitting down at the table. "Hi sweetie make sure you eat something before you go." She says.
"I will." I say getting up. "Do we have any avocados?" I ask her looking out from the table. "Yeah there are some in that fruit basket thing." She says pointing sloppily.
I nod and hop off my chair and grab an avocado. I got to the kitchen and pop a piece of bread in the toaster. "Mom do you want a piece of avocado toast?" I offer holding up a second piece of bread. "No thanks I'm good sweetie."
I nod and place it back in the bag. I push the toaster lever down and start cutting the avocado.
After about two minutes everything is done. I go to sit down but right when I'm about to my mom yells. "HUNNY OUT THE DOOR YOU'RE GONNA BE LATE!" She scares me making my toast drop.
I pout as 'who can say where the road goes' plays in my head. I bend down to pick it up and I'm about to grab it but she yells again. "I GOT IT JUST OUT THE DOOR SWEETIE LOVE YOU."
"Ouch Jeeze mom you don't need to yell." I say rubbing my head cause I hit it on the table. "Sorry but go!" She pushes me.
"Love you too mommy bye." I say grabbing my backpack and jogging out the door.
I start walking to the school faster than normal. All of a sudden a car starts driving behind me really slow. I pick up the pace and so does the car.
The car passes me and I look to see who it is but I can't tell. I watch as it circles around the block and comes back my way.
It pulls up beside me. "Get in." The person says. "Why Zach?" I ask stopping and leaning on the window frame of his car.
"Cause if we want people to believe we are a couple then you have to ride to school with me." He explains.
"We don't want people the believe we are dating, only Jorden." I say. "Would you just get in?" He says. "You get a free ride."
I huff and hop in. I sit with my head leaning on the window as he drives.
I start thinking about this whole 'fake love thing' he's making me do. "Hey what's in this whole thing for me?" I asks
"Well you'll get to make out with me and you don't out your friend Novascocia." He said. "It's Nova." I correct him. "Yeah I really don't care." He said.
"How can you be so rude?" I turn to him. "I have to keep my rep you know." He said. I roll my eyes as we entered the parking lot.
"Alright get out." He said. "Gladly." I said hopping out. "No thanks for the ride?" "You don't deserve it." I say plainly and walk in the school.
I make my way to my locker and grab my things. "Hey girl." Nova says coming up behind me. "Hey." I said.
"Hey what's wrong." She asks patting my shoulder.
"Nothing." I say closing my locker and start walking away only to be stopped by her.
"Tell me." She says. I sigh and drag her into the bathroom. "So what's up?" She says.
"So you know Zach?" I start. "Yeah what about him?" "Well yesterday he blackmailed me into being his fake girlfriend for a week just to make Jorden jealous." I explain.
She looks shocked. "Why you, no offense." She says. "Apparently I'm here biggest competition." I roll my eyes.
"What did he even blackmail you with, you're an open book?" She asks. "Well, you're gonna be mad at me and him." I say.
"WTF DID HE BLACKMAIL YOU WITH?" Her voice gets louder. "How you have a crush on Daniel, he was gonna tell the whole school." I say quickly plugging my ears.
"THAT ASSHOLE!" She yelled and stormed out of the bathroom with me following behind her.
I see her looking over the sea of students. "Nova what are you doing?" I ask.
She doesn't answer but starts walking really fast towards the other end of the hall. I quickly follow behind her. "Nova stop."
"No!" She says. She walks up to Zach's group of friends and when she is three feet away they all look at her. She grabs Zach by the ear and drags him.
"Ow Ow, What the hell are you doing?!" He asked shocked. All of a sudden she punches him in the shoulder, "This is for blackmailing my best friend," she kicks him in the shin "and that is for trying to expose my crush." She whispers yells.
He shoots me a look. "Why would you tell her?!" He snarled. "She forced me to don't yell at me." I threw my hands in the back.
"You know I don't even care if you 'expose' me anymore as long as you leave Tori alone." She says.
"Okayy, oh Da-" I cut him off. "I'll do it just leave her be and leave me alone until Jorden is around." I say and start walking away.
All of a sudden he pulls me into him and squeezes me in a hug. "What're you-" he cuts me off. "Shhh Jorden's right there, now say something to me." He says.
"Uhh-uuuh." I stutter. "Oh my God you're bad at this." He says.
"So I'll see you later for a ride babe." He said letting me go. "Yup!" I say with a fake smile. "K bye love." He says. "Bye."
As I'm walking away I feel a hand tap my ass. I look back at Zach and see him grinning. My cheeks grow red and I look at Jorden.
She looks pissed. I love it.
Nova and I walk to our classes.

"Finally." I say sitting at the lunch table. "Hey have you seen Gabe at all?" I ask.
"Yeah he texted me saying he wasn't gonna be in today, he's sick." She says I nod.
I'm about to take a bite of my pizza piece when I feel a tap on my shoulder. "Yes Zachary?" I ask.
"Come sit at my lunch table." He says. "No." I say as people start staring at us. "Why not." He takes a seat next to me.
"Cause I'm sitting with Nova right now." I explain. "Fine but tomorrow you are." He says.
"But Harley is coming backs tomorrow and I haven't seen him in forever." I pout.
"Too bad, later princess." He winks and walks back to his table. Everyone goes back to what they were doing an I continue talking with Nova.

I walk into the parking lot and head out towards the sidewalk. "Tori!" Someone yells getting my attention.
"Yes?" I turn and walk towards him. "You are riding home with me today." He said. "I guess I don't have a choice." I sigh. "Nope." He pops the p.
I get in the passenger side and he exits the parking lot. "So where to?" He asks.
"You sound like a taxi driver." I giggle and he smiles. Zach Herron smiling at a girl? That's a first. "It's 453 Elms Road LA California." I say and he sets it in his phone.
After about five or ten minutes we get there. "Thanks for the ride." I hop out. "Anytime." He says as he rolls up his window and drives off.
I open the door and take off my shoes. "How was school sweetie?" My mom asks. "Good I guess."
"Who have you a ride?" She asks. "Just a friend."
"Okay well dinner will be done in a bit." She says. "Okay thanks mom." I walk upstairs to my room.
