"Ooh I'm so excited!" I say to Nova. "Me too!" She says back. "I can't believe our first game is tonight, I'm so nervous! I heard all of the popular kids are going!" She says with excitement.
Basketball season. Oh how I love basketball season. The intensity, the refs, the crowd, the whole sport just gives me an adrenaline rush. And tonight was our first game.
And yeah yeah I know what you're thinking. Wow how much time has it been since you last updated us on your whole situation.
Well it was long enough to get me to get to basketball season. It was long enough for Nova's crush on Daniel to grow stronger. It was long enough for Jorden to move on. But not with just anyone, my ex. Ryan Finley.
Oh the memories. But I'm not going to get back together with him. He made up a rumor about me and then told all the school that I was an easy girl. I hate him for that. But since he's my first, he will always have a place in my heart.
But that place, is way down deep in the bitter parts of it. Last year he said he was gonna be moving to Georgia, but I guess he's back.
I make my way to the locker room and start changing into my uniform. "Oh no oh no." I shift through my bag.
"What's wrong?" Nova asks. "My basketball shoes are still in my locker, but I don't have enough time to finish getting ready and grab my shoes." I panic.
"Relax, just get Zach to grab them for you." She pats my shoulder. I nod and text him.

I set my phone down and finish getting ready. About two minutes later there is a knock on the locker room door.
"Tori?" It calls out. I run to the door and walk out. "Thank you so much Zach, you're a life saver!" I grab the shoes and hug him.
"I'll see you out there." I say. "Can't wait to watch you play babe." He said.
I blush. I turn around but Zach grabs my wrist and plants a kiss on my lips. "For good luck." He winks and walks off.
I walk back to the locker room but the door won't budge. "Guys lemme in." I say. I hear feet shuffle and then I open the door.
"What were you guys doing?" I ask slipping on my shoes. "Definitely not listening to your whole conversation with a Mr. Zach Herron." A girl named Luna Argider nudged my shoulder.
Luna Argider. Her name basically means 'moonlight'. We were best friends in soft-more when she moved here but we have since then, drifted.
"Guys he's JUST my boyfriend." I emphasize just. All the girls squeal and jump up and down. "Wow for a bunch of jocks you love acting girly." I laugh. They laugh along too.
We already have team captains. Me and Nova. "Alright girls gather up!" I yell. They all get in a huddle.
"Sadly we have to play against our most challenging opponent on the first day. That means we try extra hard, NO slacking off. These girls are just as aggressive and it's gonna be a good game. So go out there, and play your hardest! Ready Wolves on three!" I chant.
