Overthinking

Chapter Five:

My mind was racing, I couldn't believe what he just asked me. He wants to take me on a date? He sits there, looking at the ground. A group of kids run pass us laughing.

"Uh, um. I don't know what to say." I whispered. Hansuke blushes. He looks as red as his hair.

"I mean, you don't have to give me an answer right away." He says, forcing an smile. I sigh and he chuckles awkwardly. "It's getting late, I should probably get home with Natsuki." I watch as he stands up and starts to look for his sister. I should probably go look for Kira.

Once we get home, Kira disappears off to his room. Mother and Father are in the kitchen making food.

"Hey, there you guys are. How was the park?" Mother questions. I shrug my shoulders.

"It was good I guess. What are we having tonight?" I asked. Mother stirs a pot of mixed vegetables.

"Mixed vegetables and rice with salmon." She announces. I lick my lips.

"Yum, I love salmon." I say. Father chuckles and walks over to me and hugs me.

"I love you so much, okay?" He says. I nod and he lets me go. I wonder what that is about. I excuse myself upstairs to take a shower. As I get naked, I hear Hansuke asking me over and over again on a date. What am I gonna say? Do I even like him? I thought he just wanted to be friends. Like, friends don't go on dates. Right? I sigh and get into the shower.

During dinner things are awfully quiet. Kira goes on and on about his first day at school. I kinda just zone out, thinking about all the things that have happened so far. I am excited to see Kasiho and Katio. I'm sure things will be awkward with Hansuke and me. I know he wants me to give him an answer too, god, what am I gonna say?

After dinner, I retire to my room and write a journal entry on my laptop. I decide to shuffle my iPod as I write. The first song that comes on is Roll Up by The Ready Set. I start writing.

Good Evening;

My first day at Reitaku wasn't so bad. It started with me, running into this cute guy named Kaisho Hayashi. He has a twin brother. His name is Katio. Kaisho has dark blue hair and dark stormy ocean blue eyes with sweet smooth skin. He has a lip piercing on the right side of his lip. Katio looks just like him, he has an eyebrow piercing on the left side of his face and a septum piercing. They both are super cute and they are seniors. There's also an annoying chick I already don't like. Her name is Aina and she has long white hair and gray eyes. She worships this guy, his name is Naozumi Oshiro. He's decent looking, but his personality is terrible, and I really hate him, a lot. 😡 My teachers are pretty cool. Professor Ichi let me take my quiz home and Professor Henji is really cute. ☺️ Today I punched this guy in the face for bullying my brother; and you won't believe who actually stuck up for me, (more like took the blame) that annoying Naozumi. The principal was so mad, but I guess Naozumi can deal with it now c: oh well, Hansuke asked me on a date, and I'm not quite sure what I should say, or do for that matter. It's gonna be hella awkward. I really like Kaisho, but I know I can't be with him, he's probably like eighteen or something and I'm only fourteen. UGH. 😫😫😫😫 I'm probably overthinking all this, but I am so confused. I better get some sleep, ~

I close my laptop and put it on the floor next to me. I glance at my clock, it's about 11:46 in the evening. I turn my lights off and lie back in bed. I can hear my heart beating slowly. I wonder is everyone is Japan sleeping now. I need to sleep, but I can't force my eyes to close. I groan, it's gonna be a long night.
