Patty: (Y/n)!

The bubbly girl yelled your name as she charged at you. A simple smile rested on your lips as you opened your arms ready to receive the affectionate hug that you could not avoid even if you wanted to. Patty opened her arms and pounced toward you wrapping her arms tightly around your neck as you quickly wrapped your arms around her waist spinning her in a circle. Your heart swelled as your heard her childlike giggles. You were already dizzy from this whole experience so after a few turns you set the girl down, but she didn't release your neck and you never removed your arms from her waist.

(Y/n): So it's just you and me.

Patty: Yep!

(Y/n): What happened out there?

Patty's sure smile seemed to falter a bit before she spoke.

Patty: You just turned to dust! I don't know how, but we had to sweep you up into a dustpan just to keep you from blowing away!

(Y/n): That's... very reassuring.

Patty: And your soul...

Patty paused.

(Y/n): What about my soul?

Patty looked down at the ground. Her silence was starting to scare you.

(Y/n): Patty. What about my soul?

Patty let out a breath and then looked up with fierce determination in her eyes.

Patty: (Y/n) do you love me?!

Your eyes widened and your cheeks turned red.

(Y/n): W-What does that have to do with m-

Patty: Do you?!

(Y/n): I-I well-!

Patty: (Y/n) do you?!

(Y/n): Yes!

Patty smirked before she slapped her hands against your cheeks, puckering your lips and yanked you forward. Her lips met yours as your heart lept in your chest. You smiled into the kiss and let your eyes close. Patty pulled you closer as a blinding light began to crack through the darkness and envelop the two of you. You didn't really mind as you were in the embrace of the one you loved.

The group looked on anxiously as your soul fought against itself in a clash of light vs dark. Then a miracle occurred as the forces of good broke through the corruption and purged it from the soul. A blinding light followed and two forms formed. The two heavily wrapped in an embrace as the light dispersed to reveal Patty kissing her beloved (Y/n). The other's quickly cheered as Patty pulled away from the kiss leaving them both breathless.

Patty: If that's all I had to do to get you to kiss me I should have yelled at you a long time ago!

(Y/n): We can kiss more when you calm down and I'm used to having my body back. Deal?

Patty: Deal!

Patty hugged you tightly as the others gathered around you to question you on the experience. You just blocked it all out to focus on Patty, the love of your life.

Several Years Later...

???: Come on Daddy!

???: Yeah come on Daddy!

You sighed as you were being pulled along by two people. One being your daughter and the other being your wife.

(Y/n): Why did we drive 14 miles just to come to the zoo?

Patty: Giraffes! Tell your Daddy Jessica!

Jessica: Giraffes Daddy!

You sighed out again, but let a smile crawl onto your face. Years after the events of DWMA you and Patty had moved on to greener pastures... literally you lived on a ranch. Patty loves to play around with animals, but the one animal she has yet to won is the giraffe which is why Patty had dragged you and your sweet daughter Jessica to the zoo. At least Jessica liked giraffes enough to go along with your wife's plans.

(Y/n): I can't tell which out of the two of you is more mature...

Patty pulled you quickly to the left before gasping and racing off in the direction of the animals she loved. Your daughter Jessica close on her heels. You sighed and rubbed the back of your neck. Owning a ranch wasn't your first choice in a future, but with Patty at least the work is fun. Your daughter Jessica was only 9, but she was going to head to DWMA to study in a matter of years. One thing still nagged at you every once in a while. When you would be tending to the trees on the ranch you could swear you would see a hooded figure in the distance watching you only to escape back into the woods when being spotted. You didn't tell Patty for two reasons. One is you didn't want to scare her and Jessica and two was... you had a feeling you knew that person and wouldn't mind them watching as long as you knew they were safe.

Jessica: Come on Daddy! Lets feed the giraffes!

(Y/n): Coming sweetie!

You couldn't complain. You had a loving family with a beautiful wife and daughter and that's what any man can ask for. And maybe one of these days that hooded figure will finally sit down to dinner like when you had lived together in DWMA.
