Alright, I decided (with the help of the only two to comment thus far) to do tge third option with the spirit animals, but really quick I'm going to need some help.
On what you may ask? Well I need ideas for animals on characteristics that they represent, like say you have a gentle personality, your spirit animal would match and enhance that, or say your character is super shy but wants to be brave their spirit animal would be one that represents bravery.
So I'm coming to you guys for help on what the animals I list should represent!
And feel free to suggest animals I should include!
All animals that have personalities already will have them down below, and the personalities will be what is commented first, so please don't get mad if you suggest a foxes traits and someone else commented their idea for them first.

Leopard: should connect with a confident and independent person [ is also close with the Eagle one, but the Eagle should be for persons who are generally more selfless and the Leopard for persons with hubris
