"It was sooo great to spend the last month with you guys." I grinned as I collapsed onto Julian's couch.
"I can't believe you're leaving already! These last few weeks have flown by." Kai said sadly. The three of us- him, Julian, and I had become even closer than we already were in the weeks I had been staying with Julian. Since they had a break from Bundesliga we had spent a lot of time fooling around in the city as well as meeting up with old friends and exploring.
The whole time Dele and I had been keeping up our daily FaceTimes, though the premier league was in full swing as well as all the other tournaments his team were still in so he was kept busy. That night in particular I could tell something was on his mind and was bothering him, but I knew something he didn't- that we'd be seeing each other the next day.
As our call started to wrap up, there was a minute of silence where he seemed to be thinking hard. "Listen, A, I've been wondering something."
"Uhhh could we talk about this tomorrow? I've got a really early morning." I interrupted. My first thought was that if he wanted to stop talking or something else that wasn't good tomorrow would be very awkward.
"Oh uh yeah, I gusss see you tomorrow." He responded, startled.
"See you." I blew him a kiss and closed my laptop. Crisis averted.

I furrowed my brow as she logged off. I had meant to ask her where she saw us in the future but I wasn't expecting her to be so against talking seriously at all. Sure she had to be up early, but I knew she was making an excuse not to talk. She was definitely hiding something, and all I could do was pray that it wasn't something bad.

I hopped out of Julian's Range Rover and smiled as he handed me my suitcase. "Thanks again for everything Jules. I'll miss you guys."
"We'll miss you too. Next time you visit maybe we can get the national team together!" He proposed.
"Or maybe I'll just visit during an international break. That might be easier." I countered.
"Yeah." He shrugged. "Just have a good time in London, okay? Dele's gonna love you."
"Here's hoping." I grumbled. "It's been kinda weird between us lately."
"Have faith! You guys are crazy about each other." Julian assured.
"Thanks Jules." I beamed as we hugged one last time. I grabbed my suitcase and turned around.
"Go get em!" He called as I walked into the airport, ready for one of the most nerve wracking days of my life.
