Lance and Hunk stood right in front of the building. Very opposite looks on their faces. Lance looked eager and confident while Hunk, on the other hand a mixture of worry and slight excitement.

"Welp," lance started. "This is it Hunk, the most life changing four years of our lives. Are you ready?"

"Ready as I'll ever be!" Hunk replied, with sweat dripping down his face. Hid hands were shaking in anticipation. "I can't do this Lance I'm taking the next bus home!" He started his way to the bus stop.

Lance forcefully grabbed the back of Hunks backpack and made him face the school. It was painted the dullest of reds and on the top in white letters that say, "William M. Garrison High School."

"School's this way dummy."

"Well worth a shot."

They walked through the doors and felt the extreme blast of a.c. It technically was still summer and the heat was blazing outside. No wonder their mom's told them to bring a jacket.

"Here we are, the city's best school." Lance stated looking in the halls that were slightly overcrowded and filled to the brim with children shuffling and pushing past each other struggling to get to their first classes of the day.

"To think that the school named after the city the school is in would be the best school in the city." Hunk replied with a confident smirk.

"Eh who cares, as long as we're in it together, right Hunk?"

"You know it."

With Hunk's sudden additude change came an extended fist. Lance pumped it. They made there way to room 206. Conviently it was just down the hall.

"So. Many. PEOPLE!" Katie thought to herself.

Her thought may have been a little dramatic, but it wasn't far from the truth. This place was packed with kids to the brim. And since Katie had been inside her solitary space all her life. All by herself. Nobody else around. This is like actually Hell.

She already assumed she wasn't going to make any friends. It was going to be a long year.

"Room 206." She read on her schedule. "Anywhere but here is good. Less people."

She re-checked her backpack to make sure she had everything. To her unfortunatness, she had everything she needed. She attempted to make her way to class trying not to bump into anyone and/or get trampled.

"Wait hold on a sec Hunk..." Lance suddenly burst out and put his hand on Hunk's torso as if to say watch out for something.

"What What WHAT?!"

"H-" Lance stammered for a second. "Her..." Lance pointed at a mysterious girl. Her brown hair seemed generic, but to Lance it was eye catching. She wore a long-sleeve green shirt and jean shorts. Lance had never seen someone like her before. He figured that she was from out of town he never saw her in middle school. Something new and fresh. He'd fallen in love with this new girl that he'd never seen before. Was she foreign? Was she funny? Was she smart? Did she look better with or without glasses? Was she...?

"Mr. McClain?"

A voice came from behind Lance as he was in a daze. Everyone had already found their classes and he was the only one in the hallway. Hunk had already left even though his best friend had still been standing in the hall. She withnoname had already taken off as well.

"Sorry principal shirogane, I had just gotten distracted." Lance replied with a weak, nervous smile.

"You don't want to be late to your first class do you?"

"No of course not, sir. I'll be on my way."

"Hustle up, son."

Lance ran into the class. Being late to class was the worst. Everyone looking at you like you had something on your face. The teacher scolding you about wasting time. Detention. The list goes on and on.

"Well Mr. McClain," the teacher started to speak. "This should not happen again. Or else it's detention. Understood?"

"Yes sir, won't happen again." Lance replied nervously.

"Good. Well since all the other seats have been taken, you'll have to sit next to her." He pointed at... the girl from the hallway....

"What luck," Lance thought.
