Regrets

This is a story of a girl and a boy who were

together for a couple of years.

They were really happy together and

everybody can see and is positively envious with them.

They were students then when  they first met.

Until they finished their studies and

pursued their careers.

Then they needed to be separated  from each other.

Distance was not a problem as both  of them gave some effort

just to be by the side of each other.

They were each other's world.

After months, the boy felt a sudden  change with his girl.

and for months, he tried to win his girl

back, and save their relationship.

But one bad day, the  girl called him.

She was crying on the  phone telling the boy  to stop fighting for her.

Giving the reason that

she doesn't want to  hurt him forever

and she wants him to  be genuinely happy  with someone better  than her.

But the boy doesn't want to give up,only before

the girl said her last ace on deck:

"I am with someone now! and I have been

cheating on you for two months already!"

Of course that was a lie.

Though there were so  many guys trying to get her,

she remained faithful to him as he was to her.

Then the boy went crazy and said  to the girl that she should die.

Because of too much  anger and frustration in

his heart, the boy was  desperate to find a new  girl, and he did not fail.

He readily found a  new one and fell in  love with very  quickly.

After a couple of weeks, his ex girl  tried to talk to him and explain  everything to get him back,

having realized that she can't live  without him,

her true love.

But the boy was cold as ice and rejected  her.

The girl was extremely broken- hearted.

She has no choice but to accept the fact

that she lost her true love already.

Her last words for him was she has a  gift for him.

She asked the boy to wait  for it.

.

Then they lost their  communication  because the boy changed his

number and blocked the girl from  any means of connection

After two years the boy decided to marry

his current girlfriend.

A week after the wedding,

a package arrived to their  home.

The boy opened it and  found a small blue  notebook.

It was the same notebook

he gave his ex 3 years ago.

Written on it is their story.

Everything, every single detail was

written there.

At the very end of the note was

these words:

If someday you found out that I  am sick and dying,

don't cry for  me.

Instead be happy that you are  with someone who is healthy,

someone who can grow old with  you.

Someone Who can give you children to experience how a  great father you can be.

Either, don't be mad at me for  what I have chosen for us....

You are the one who taught  me how to love like this. To  sacrifice your own happiness

to secure the happiness of the  person you dearly love.

Tears rallied down his face.

He closed the notebook and tried to  return it inside the envelope.

Suddenly two sheets of paper

folded together fell on the ground.

On the paper are some doodles and words he remembered doing with her ex when they were

together planing things for the future.. and on the same paper is the floor plan of the house

they dreamt long ago.

Flashbacks almost started when he saw

An address written at the

back of the plan.

The boy rushed to his truck and drove his

way to the address written on the

paper.

He knows that address because it was

the previous "peryaan"

they used to go when they were

students.

There, the house sketched on the

plan stands alone and seems to be

empty.

It seems like its just some months  old.

The boy entered the terrace and on a

coffee table, he found a white envelope .

It was not sealed so he opened it and

found a key and a note saying:

"Gifts are meant to make the  receiver happy.

It's yours.

I hope you like it and be happy with your family."
