MY BIRTHDAY HAIKU
tardy hummingbird
chose to visit my garden
last night at twilight
right before my eyes
hovering with precision
my birthday surprise
beak sampling nectar
such an elegant creature
wings whirred pretty bird
soon heading southward
such a long journey ahead
bless your little heart
