WOULD'VE GAVE YOU EVERYTHING

"MY QUESTION IS, WHAT KIND OF school throws a party on a Tuesday?" Mackenzie asks Annie.

Annie just shrugs, taking a sip of whatever's in her cup and her face contorted in disgust as the liquid burns her throat.

She pulls the red cup away from her mouth, groan as she double checks what's inside. "That shit is gross, what the fuck..."

Mackenzie looks up slightly, seeing a ledge that can be climbed onto, "I'll be right back." Mackenzie mutters to a nodding Annie.

Mackenzie sits on the ledge of the cliff as her legs swing on the side. She's taking in the scenery as she thinks.

Not about Brynn. Not about Caden, or Annie. Not Hayden. Not even Johnny.

She's thinking about herself, life after graduation. Mackenzie auditioned for Juilliard, and she still hasn't gotten any letter. It upsets her, now that she's thinking about it, yet she's paid no mind to it due to recent events, and that's not how she wants it to be.

It's her senior year, this isn't the year for drama. That's for freshmen, tf...

This was supposed to be her time to focus on school and her future. She sighs at the thought before she's interrupted by a deep voice.

"Hey!"

She turns around, spotting Caden and she lets out another sigh, standing up.

"What's up, Caden?"

"Baby. I miss you."

Mackenzie's eyebrows furrow as she gets closer to him, he reeks of alcohol. Damn, did they have to invite this many people?

"We're not together, Caden. Don't call me that." Mackenzie chuckles.

Caden laughs darkly, taking another swig of his drink as he walks closer to Mackenzie, causing her to move back a bit.

"Of course we are, babe, we were just on a break." He mutters, grabbing onto her waist. "But now we're back and better than ever."

Mackenzie squeals, Caden moving in towards her neck, "Remember we were talking about New York, together baby?" He slurs his words.

"Caden, Caden, please stop." She whines, placing her hands on his chest and pushing him as they get closer to the ledge.

"Mackenzie, I need you, I missed you so fucking much, Mac." His grip on her waist gets harder, and Mackenzie shifts around between his fingers.

"Caden, let go..." She trails off as she begins to slip from his fingers, but nearing too close to the edge, the sound of the waves crashing filling her ears.

"But Mac-"

"She said let go." A voice was heard from behind Caden and Mackenzie scrambled from his arms, running into the person's arms.

Of course it's Johnny, right? Jeez.

"I almost fell!" Mackenzie mutters into Johnny's hoodie, warmth soon engulfing her as she squeezes him a tad tighter.

"I know, but you're okay now, Kenz." He mumbles into her hair, nodding his head at Hayden.

Hayden walks up to Caden... and punches him in the face and he falls in the ground, making him sober up enough to hop back up again.

Hayden jumps in pain as he does so, "Shit, you have a hard face! Johnny why'd you make me do this?!" He whines, clutching onto his fist.

"Get over it." He scolds.

"Mackenzie..." Caden says, "I'm so sorry, I must've b-"

Mackenzie looks over at him, scoffing, "Save it."

Mackenzie is laying in bed, sitting up on her phone as she soon locks it, pushing the covers off of her and walking to her window. She stands there for a while, looking at the window across from her.

"Fuck me..." She grumbles, beginning to climb out of it, "Why do I do this to myself?"

It's called lov- nvm...

She hops onto the other side, knocking softly on Johnny's window, waiting for him to open it. He's talking on the phone, quickly turning towards his window, spotting Mackenzie and dismissing the person on the other end of the line.

Once he opened the window, he helped Mackenzie in by grabbing her hand, holding it as she hopped the small length to land on the floor with a soft thud.

"Johnny, hi."

"Hi." He chuckled, pulling her into a hug and taking her by surprise. "I'm glad you're okay."

"Uh, me too... I have something to tell you."

"I know you know about my dad." Johnny informs, pulling away and sitting down on his bed and patting the spot next to him for Mackenzie to sit, which she does. "I just talked to Hayden, he told me you were asking about me." He says with an accusing smirk.

"Yeah, I was." She chuckled, laying on his bed. "You were confusing me, John, I needed some sort of answer... but now I can ask you myself, if you're ready to answer."

"Yeah, Kenz," Johnny starts, grabbing her hand, "I am."
