I decided that I had to wake up to reality and just accept the truth.

It's not my place to judge Jungkook for having a girlfriend.

Besides, it's been 8 years. Of course he'd have a girlfriend here and there during those times.

I've got to be honest though, I'm disappointed.

I thought I'd have a chance with my first love again. But not everything can go my way.

It's the end of the day, and I still have dinner scheduled with Jungkook.

I already promised myself that I wouldn't make things awkward with him. I'll congratulate him and be happy for the both of them.

*beep*

"Miss Kim?" I hear Jimin speak through the caller.

"Yes, Jimin-ssi?" I asked him.

"The CEO would like to attend to your dinner now. It's time to close up the building." He informed me.

"Araseo-yo. Gamsahabnida. I'll go and head to his office in a bit."

I took my bag and looked at all the paper work I've finished.

I took an empty binder from one of my desk drawers and put the papers in there.

I planned on taking the binder home with me to work on it later.

I should probably call Taehyung.

I dialled his number and told him not to come pick me up and that I'll be able to get home myself.

"What? Where at you going?" He asked worriedly.

"Tae, don't worry I'm going to have dinner with Jungkook to catch up." I told with a giggle.

"WHAT?? Didn't I tell you to be careful around other guys, Y/N?"

"Relax, Tae. He's an old friend, plus he has a girlfriend and is a completely normal person. I don't become friends with any random person. He was my childhood friend, Taetae."

"....Fine, call me after you're done. I'll come pick you up."

"Tae, you don't need to, I'll-"

"I said, call me after you're done."

"Fine, I will." I thanked him, then hung up.

After making sure that I had everything I needed, I closed my door and headed to Jungkook's office.

"Come in." I heard him speak after I knocked on the door.

"Hello, are you ready for our catch up dinner, sir?" I asked him, trying to be as normal as possible.

He stared at me, with sorrowful eyes...

Is he okay?

"Yes, I am. There's so much to talk about." He replied with a sudden smile.

We both walked out of the door and went to his car.

The car ride was a little tense, but I tried to break the tension by asking him questions and bringing up small talk.

"Where will we be eating?" I asked, hesitantly.

"I'll be recommending the food like always." He responded without looking at me but smiling.
