     paik saehyun peered out of her window to see a black car in front of her apartment building.  she quickly shuffled to the door, running her fingers through her dark hair one last time.  she tucked in her pastel pink shirt into the high waisted jeans she wore before opening the door of her small apartment room. 

     she hurried to the lobby of her apartment building.  when she reached the doors, she caught a glimpse of renjun smiling and looking her up and down.

     exiting the apartment building, small purse in hand, saehyun hopped into renjun's car.

     "hey, saehyun." he smiled.  "i didn't know you had an apartment."

     "i moved out a couple of weeks ago," she giggled.  "but my mom still checks on me all the time."

     "it sounds like you two have a good relationship."

     "we do." saehyun nodded, turning to renjun who was now driving towards the pier.  "how about you?  do you live with your parents or alone?  are you going to college or sticking with ice cream?"

     "i'm moving out next month." he shrugged, smile gone.

     "cool." she ignored how he had barely answered the question.

     "so what about you?  college?  do you have a job?" he asked, starting to smile again.

     "i deliver pizzas.  i'd work at an ice cream parlor, but the only this i like more than ice cream is pizza." she subconsciously ran her fingers through her hair due to how nervous she was.  "as for college... i'm not really sure about that yet.  i was accepted into some after high school, but i needed some time without stress after some things happened senior year."

     "i totally understand." renjun smiled at her, his eyes meeting hers.

     "thanks." she gave him a sympathetic glance.

it was only five more silent minutes before they pulled up in front of a beautiful grass area next to a calm lake, the sun's bright rays bouncing off of it. it was so entrancing in the daylight that saehyun wondered how beautiful it would be at sunset or even at under the moonlight at dark.

renjun pulled out a large wooly blanket and a woven basket from the back seat, holding them up so that saehyun could see. he was grinning widely, looking incredibly proud of his efforts.

"we're here."
