Your POV
It was all darkness. I heard nothing, saw nothing, and didn't feel anything. The only thing I was aware of was my existence. For some reason I thought this was kind of peaceful. Was I dead? Or was I alive? I was reached from my thoughts when I heard my name.

"Y/n..." I heard a voice.

My eyes shot open and I looked around. I was in the middle of a forest. I frantically looked around and saw a shadow. I backed up and stood up onto my feet.

"W-what are you!" I shouted at the shadow.

"Do not worry my child, for I am not foe." The voice said. It was a women's voice. It reminded me of my mother.

"Wh-where am I?" I said nervously.

"You are inside yourself. Your inner world." The shadow said.

"How did I get here?" I asked. My eyebrows furrowed as I tried to figure out what I was being told. My inner world?

"Your soul has been damaged, y/n. Right now I'm doing everything I can to keep you from dying. It's just...it's not that easy when there is something else inside of you that's interfering with it. Actually I sense it somewhere!" The shadow shouted as it became aggravated. I heard a screech and I turned around. There was an eagle headed straight for my head.

I quickly ducked down and it barely missed my head.

Suddenly a wolf appeared behind me.

"Do not be afraid! I am the shadow you were just talking to. That eagle that was headed towards you is what is left of that monster that you killed."

The wolf said.

"I have an idea, but it may get you actually killed." It said as it looked sternly into my eyes.

"Didn't you say I would die either way? You said that you can't keep me alive for much longer because of that thing, so either way if I don't do it, I'll still die!" I said.

"Is it a yes?" The wolf asked as it looked at me.

"Tell me what to do." I said.

"First you have to learn my name." It said as it began to glow a dark (fave color).

"What is it?" I asked.

"Call out my name! Kemono Okami!" She shouted.

"Kemono Okami!" I shouted. She grew brighter until I couldn't see my surroundings.

"Y/n! Shout out, 'Stalk like the shadows of the night, Kemono Okami!'"

"Stalk like the shadows of the night, Kemono Okami!" I shouted. I squinted as the last of the light disappeared and I could see my surroundings,

I looked down and saw I had a throwing knife in my hand.

I looked around for Kemono Okami, but I couldn't find her.

"Where'd you go?" I asked.

"You're holding me." She said. I looked down at the throwing knife.

"Huh? You were a talking wolf, and now you're a talking knife?" I asked.

"I am both a knife and a wolf. I am what is called a 'zanpakuto'." She informed.

"A zanpakuto?" I repeated. I once again heard a screech. I looked up and saw the eagle headed my way.

"Quick! Throw me!" She yelled and did just that.

I threw the knife at the eagle, but I missed.

"Shit!" I yelled.
