Have I ever told you how much I love holidays?

No, probably not, so I'll tell you now:

I love holidays.

"How's it going Pig? Having fun?" I laughed down at an exhausted little pug as we were running back from the service station. I took another bite of the magnum I was holding in my left hand and tightened my grip on Pig's lead.

"Come on girl!" I said, tugging the lead a little more to pull her along, but Pig, being selfish Pig, just sat down and stared up at me. I crossed my arms.

"Really Pig? I'm not carying you, you know that don't you" Pig just sat there, panting with her little pink tongue sticking out, staring at me as if daring me to keep on walking without her.

"Aw, is she overworking you? Poor Pig" I groaned as Amy came up behind us, grinning.

"Don't you dare, don't you dare-oh!" I groaned as Amy bent down and picked little Pig up. "I'm trying to teach her that her wishes aren't always going to be granted!" I complained.

"Aw, why not? She's such a gorgeous girl! Aren't you Piggy?" 'Piggy' was the name Amy had given Pig, stupid if you ask me, but then again so was Pig. Amy brought the little pug's face up to her own and gave her an eskimo kiss, I swear I was ready to throw up. "And anyway" she said, turning to face me, laughs and giggles gone from her face, "You kind of owe her, leaving her alone all those months!" I looked down at the ground in shame, Amy still hadn't forgiven me for forgetting about Pig, no matter what excuse I came up with.

"Fine, but you're carrying her" I said. Amy's face lit up again.

"Sure! What are you doing here anyway?" she asked.

"Oh, just going to the service station to, you know, hunt elephants" I said sarcastically. Amy laughed.

"Ok, I get it, stupid question" she grinned at me.

"What about you? You hunting elephants as well?" I asked, Amy's grin turned into more of a grimace. Suddenly my joking attitude was replaced with worry for my friend.

"Amy? What's wrong?"

"Oh, nothing" she replied, failing at nonchalance, and flicking a strand of hair behind her ear. I walked up to her and held her by the elbows.

"Amy. What is wrong?" I asked, looking her seriously in the eyes. She was silent for a little moment before she sighed.

"Well, there was this guy, and he was like, perfect. He asked me to come meet him here, wouldn't tell me why" tears started to form in her eyes.

"Oh Amy! What happened?" I asked, bringing her into an awkward hug, I still wasn't that good at being the comforting person, not after all those wasted months of being the bully.

"He, he broke up with me" she whispered. I was silent for a moment. I really had no idea and no experience when it came to guy situations.

"It's, it's all right" I said awkwardly, patting her on the back. Amy looked up and came out of our embrace.

"Yeah, yeah you're right. I'm sorry, I'm being pathetic" she said quickly.

"No you're not! Do you wanna tell me anything else about it or just keep walking?" i asked. She nodded at the second option so we kept walking, well, Amy and I kept walking, Pig was sitting proud in Amy's arms.

"So, you wanna come over to my house? We can finish the renovating" I asked. Amy's face lit up a little.

"Sure! Sounds good!" she replied brightly. I smiled at my friend, friend, not a word I was used to.

Amy had decided that my house needed a renovation. It started out with Amy saying that it "is in desperate need for a clean" so when we finished that it turned into "oh, I think you should put a lamp here, I have the perfect one!" then it grew into "come on, these walls are so dreary! Needs a coat of paint" and by now the house had had a clean, paint, new tiles, new carpet, not to mention all the new nick-knacks like lamps, fans etc.

When we finally arrived, we got straight to work in my room, it was the one we were paying most attention to as it got used the most.

It now had: a bright, hot pink feature wall. A black hanging fan. Black furniture. White shaggy carpet. A silver bed with a grand bedhead. And a whole heap of little nick-knacks to finish it off. I had to admit, it came through really well.

"Now, let's move into that spare room..." Amy trailed off, walking towards the door of the spare room where we had found Pig, but I sprinted to get infront of her.

"No!" I exclaimed, throwing my arms infront of the door so Amy couldn't get through. She laughed.

"Oh, come on! Just a paint! You have to admit it needs it!" she said.

"No, no it does not!" I said defiantly, even though I knew it definitely did, the paint was peeling off in some places.

"Oh come on! You know it does! And why don't you want to renovate it? Why are you so hell-bent of not letting me touch it?"

"Because I know you'll try and bring your little fairy renovating fingers and change everything! It is not being renovated!" I finished.

"Fine then, let's go get school supplies" Amy said unhappily. I groaned, I'd forgotten school was tomorrow.

"Oh, right, school" I muttered. Amy turned around to look at me.

"It's all right, Bi. You've changed remember? You're back to how you were before all that stuff happened, ok? You aren't going to bully anymore and you have a friend ok?" I nodded quickly at Amy's reassurance.

"Yeah, you're right. I've changed, I'm not the bully anymore, Life will be good"
