Dean had found the HQ with the help of Crowley by using a locator spell on Jack. It took a while, but they found her. Sam, Dean, and Matt had just arrived at the gate when they got out of the Impala and Mary literally popped up next to them.
She was dirty with blood and nearly in tears, "Daddy!" She all but jumped into her father's arms.
Matt's mind started to wonder so he put Mary down and asked the legendary question, "Where is Jack?"
That's when Mary finally started crying, "She's still in there."
Matt's head darted to the compound and his eyes found a padlock on the gate. He ran to it and shot open the lock, pushing the gate to roll open. Just as he had entered the fenced area, the main building exploded, and the entire site was engulfed in flames.
Matt was knocked over while Sam and Dean kept their balance while shielding Mary. Once Matt had gotten up, they all sprinted towards the compound.
"No!" Sam yelled, running with the others towards the fire.
But they couldn't get even close. The fire burned too hot. Not even the angels could get in. They couldn't get to her. They couldn't save her. She was gone.
Dean, trembling, stumbled back to the impala and leaned against the hood. Matt sank to his knees on the ground, his body numb. Mary just screamed and cried, knowing that her mother didn't survive that blast. Sam stood in shock as his head filling with sadness.
After all the joy they felt to have her back, the Winchesters were all left soaked in grief to not have Jack.
Dean lost a daughter.
Sam had as well.
Matt lost his actual true love. Despite what heaven thought, the demon and the angel were destined to be together.
And Mary lost her mother. Just like Jack had lost hers. In an explosion to protect her family.
So, from then on, they all made plans. Sam planned to go home and drink until he forgot his own name. Mary to go sit in her parent's room and cuddle her pillow her mom made. Matt planned to go and sit in the Camaro and cry until he had no more tears to cry.
Dean planned to go to the dungeon in the bunker, lock himself inside, and put a bullet in his head.
But none of that would happen. Absolutely none. Because the next thing they saw was Jack's soot covered body stumble through the flames, coughing and clothes burning along with eyes of yellow.
"Jack!" Matt stood and sprinted to her, others not far behind.
Jack looked up, a sigh of relief escaping her. But her body hurt. It felt like hot coals flowed just under her skin. But despite that pain, she ran to her family. She ran like hell itself was on her tail.
Matt tripped only a few feet away from her and knelt while he hugged around her legs, his head resting on her bloody stomach. Mary hugged Jack's hip, her father's head in her arms as well. Dean came to her right side and Sam on her left.
They all clung to her like leaves on a tree. She had saved them from the Brits and from themselves.
"Got that warding, huh, Mary?" Jack laughed hoarsely.
Matt stood up as Sam and Dean backed away. Matt grabbed Jack's cheeks, pulling her into a long kiss. When they broke away, their foreheads rested together as Matt's hands slid to her neck.
"You are so damn stupid." Matt said to his beautiful wife.
She laughed, "I know." Jack pulled from her husband and was immediately smacked upside the head by Dean.
She flinched in pain, "What the hell, Bobby?"
Dean angrily pulled her into his arms and held her tight. "I swear to God, you try a suicide mission again, I'll kill your ass dead. You hear me, Jackline."
She smiled to herself. "Yes, Dad."
She turned and there was Sam: a giant puppy dog in tears, sad as all hell.
He looked up, "You were gone. I was scared."
That's when she was a 15-year-old again. He had the same face after the hell hounds had their way with her.
Jack walked over to her uncle and pulled him down to hug her, her arms around his shoulders. His face was in her hair as the tears fell from both of them.
"Don't cry, Sammy." She sniffled. "I'm okay. Everyone is okay." She pulled away and rested her hand on his cheek.
"Besides, I think we've all done enough crying for today. It's time we celebrate." Jack turned and smiled. "After all, there is another Winchester on the way."
"Seriously?" Sam asked, eyebrows raised. Jack nodded.
Dean and Matt smiled at each other. They had really grown to love each other like a father and son would.
Matt held out his hand and Dean shook it as Matt said, "Congratulations. Two grandkids? You are officially old."
Sam laughed at his big brother. Dean's face fell into a wrinkled glare and spoke to his son-in-law, "Don't make me shoot you in front of Mary."
"I knew you were pregnant, Mama." Mary said smiling, still holding her dad's hand. "I see two demon souls. Which means I'm going to have a little sister in like eight months!"
Jack smiled, "I'm thinking a brother and it'll be more like three." Sam gave her a weird look. "I'll explain later, but I need a shirt right now." She covered my nearly naked chest with my arms.
Dean took off his flannel, handed it to Jack, and she put it on, throwing her ripped shirt into the flames.
Everyone stared at the flames and smile. The Brits were gone. And the Winchesters were free.
Sort of.
