It's been 2 days, and Terri is more happy than ever now that her father and older brother is home . They caught up on good and bad times and the men shared their stories of fighting in the field.

" I really missed-we really missed you guys" Terri said to them.

" oh lil sis we can't miss moms cooking or Grandma Cat's glazed ham" her brother told her.

" speaking of cooking " said the father " what's for dinner".

Terri's mom walked in and said " I forgot to go grocery store yesterday and it's too late at night so take out it is".

" no more churches chicken mama, I can't do chicken no more "Terri spoke and they all agreed on Pizza.

The next Monday morning, everyone had a normal day at school . Terri and Eligah were at the gym on their lunch break when Eligah said to Terri " so, yesterday I went on my very first date with Evan".

" oh my god Eli, my little baby. Tell me everything " Terri screamed.

He replied " well we went to red robins and it was amazing. After that he took me to his place in his basement where him and his band play. He's really good. We watched like 8 episodes of The Flash on Netflix and i met his parents ".

He responded " they said I'm the first guy he dated since 8th grade. He wants to meet my parents ".

" Eligah you're happy as I ever seen you. Come out to them. I mean half of the school knows " Terri whispered to him.

He said to her " Terri, it's not that easy. My people are very religious. Hell when i was 6 I wasn't aloud to eat Lucky Charms".

" well sweetie your going to have to tell them something or else that good that you have is going to go" She said.

He told her back " enough about me. I called you all weekend how come you didn't text me".

" oh Joe and my fathers back" Terri said smiling.

" Friday. Oh Eligah I'm so happy " she jumped. Then kirk came in the gym and saw her.

He walked up to her and said " hey Terri".

He spoke " i was wondering could I mean would you like to go to the winter formal with me".

" oh kirk " she cringed " sorry but I already have someone. I'm sure any lucky girl would love to go with you".

He put his head down and said " thanks" and walked away.

Eligah then looking at her saying " that was real cold Ter. The guy likes you and you don't have a date to the formal so why did you just lie".

" I didn't lie" she said " i just wasn't telling the truth. Look me and Kirk are completely different. He's a geek and I'm normal. I'm sure i can get a football player to take me. I'm thinking Ray".
