It was a Thursday afternoon at school and it was 5th period. This was a Algebra 1 class that Terri and Crystal shared together. Although before they knew each other, they sat on opposite sides of the room. Today they sat at a long black desk together in the center of the class.

" damn girl Ms. Southerland is handing out last weeks test. I already know i did horrible " said Terri tapping her feet constantly as she was nervous.

The teacher said to the class aloud " class what i am holding is last weeks test. Majority of you did icky but some of you impressed me. Especially you ms Cranston " she looked at Crystal.

" you know math" Terri told Crystal

Crystal said trying to hide her smartness " oh i bet you it's only a C-". Then the teacher handed out her paper on the desk with a huge A on the top of the paper.

" so you don't know math" sarcastically responded Terri.

Crystal then whispered " look you can't tell anyone about this ok".

" why do you want to hide who you are Crystal. Your smart, optimistic, not to mention everyone knows about your dad. Not everything but majority" Terri told her friend.

In comes a student late to the class. He has books on his sides with a huge calculator on it, glasses that looked like they were suffocating his eyes, hair was in a nappy fro that looked never cut, pants that looked like someone dad would wear with a plaid shirt, pimples everywhere, and a heavy bookbag .

" Kirk Jones" said the teacher " late by 6 minuets. What were you doing now ?searching up star war cosplay ideas". The whole class giggled.

He responded with a nice tone" no Ms Southerland. I was looking in the library for a book about genetic mutation traits ".

" why" said a student.

His response was " well as you know the power rangers came to Melodeon this year and you seen what they can do so the only explanation is genetic mutation. So if i—"

Then the same student said " think that you'd get bit by a spider and become a ranger ". The whole class laughed again except for Terri and Crystal.

Terri then shouted to him " Shut up jackass. At least he's smarter than you".

" alright Ms Stevenson watch your language " spoke the teacher " Class calm down and let's pay attention. Kirk have a seat and this time try not to answer all the questions. I know your smart but give everyone a chance huh". He sat down and the class payed attention.

39 minuets later the bell rang and Kirk was at the door as everyone left as he was packing up for next class. He then saw Terri and said " Hey Stevenson ". She stopped. " thanks for what you did back there. That was tough ".

" no problem Kirk. I hate bullies" she told him with a smile and left.

When school let out, the rangers transport to Majestic. There they were in the metal room when she was before them and said

" i will send you to an opening field. There you will meet your zords, bond with them and control them. First you have to morph ".

Then all of them lined up yelling " INSTINCTS AWAKEN ". They were all power rangers and Majestic transported them to the field.
