A/N: so because it's a weird ass name, the pronunciation for this name: Gigandet la'Kefroumpoi is jeh-gone-day/la-keh-froom-pwah ┐('~';)┌

Silas returned to the capital and dismounted his horse. He gave a long cylinder to the guard posted outside.
"Please send this to the Superior Grand."
"Right away, sir."
Silas watched the guard leave and then handed the reins to the other guard. He wasn't feeling well; fatigued and sluggish. After that weird encounter with that boy, Silas concluded that he had been wiped out. Although that had never happened before...He shook his head. What that kid said was nothing but an old rumor to keep humans from trying to kill dragons. Besides, how could he really trust anything that kid was saying? He was a dragon sympathizer!
"Knight von Lagon... Knight von Lagon?"
Silas turned and found his subordinate walking up to him, hand on the scabbard of her sword. Silas' eyes went blurry for a second but he shook his head and smiled as much as his tired body would allow.
"Undersquire Greygold..."
"I heard that you had just come back from your mission. How was it? Did you vanquish those disgusting things?" she asked, smiling at him with childish triumph.
"Yeah, I finished the mission. Got a dragoness as well, which was a pretty good find."
"Yes! I knew you could do it! I never doubted you at all, sir. Sir? Are you alright?"
Silas shook his head again. "I'm fine, Greygold... Were you in the middle of training?"
"No, we just finished. Good timing too! Would you like me to accompany you back to the Knight barracks?"
"I do believe I'll manage, Greygold."
"No offense, sir, but... you look like you're about to fall over."
"I'm not sure what's going on. This fatigue just hit me all of a sudden and it's just so hard to stay awake... Maybe I'll take you up on the offer of walking me to the barracks."
Bijela smiled and went to walk next to her superior when she saw him black out and start to fall. She called out to him as he went limp and caught him in record time, although he was extremely heavy due to the armor and the fact that he was a full foot and half taller than her. He also probably weighed twice as much as she did and it was all muscle. His weight dragged her down slowly to the ground and she finally settled on her knees, looking around to see if anyone had seen what happened. To her contradictory chagrin and luck, no one saw her superior faint like a winded lady but no one was around to help her lift him to get to the barracks.
"Silas? Silas, wake up... Please, sir, wake up!"
After a few minutes of prodding, he finally opened his green eyes to stare at her and he turned his head a little in her lap.
"I'm confused..." he said softly.
Bijela sighed in relief as Silas sat up. He touched his head and looked around for a second.
"We're still outside?"
"You were only asleep for a few moments, sir... I've never seen you like this..."
"It must be all my sleepless nights catching up with me... I think that tiny nap may have helped me out a great deal. I'm sorry if I scared you."
"I was just worried about getting you to safety, sir. Do you still need me to escort you to the Knight barracks?"
"I think I can manage now. Sorry about that..."
He walked off and then began to walk faster. He had never done that in his whole career as a knight and his insomnia had really never caused that to happen. Then again, he had just developed insomnia over the past couple of months. He might get two or three hours of sleep but that was it and it was forcing himself to lay down... Silas just decided to chock it all up to sleep deprivation.

That night, he had a horrible dream that included him swelling up like a balloon and then bursting all of the Knight barracks. He woke up in a cold sweat when he felt nauseous. He put his hand over his mouth and ran to the bathroom, vomiting almost immediately. He was in there for a good minute and finally he stopped. He put his hand on his stomach to rub it from all the purging he had done when he thought he felt a small bulge in his usually flat (and ripped) stomach. He stood up, wobbly from the amount of vomit he had ejected, and went over to the mirror. He lifted his shirt and turned to the side and was horrified to find that yes, where his usually completely flat stomach should have been was showing a small rounded pooch just barely there. No one would notice it, but he did. He stared at the mirror in shock. This can't be happening... That kid was just trying to rattle me up and now I'm seeing things... yeah... yeah, you're okay, Silas.. After the pep talk, Silas made his way back to his bed and laid down. He sighed and closed his eyes, knowing full well that what the kid was saying was just rumor to scare him and he was perfectly fine.

Bijela waited by the stables for Silas. It was very odd for him to be late. Ever since she decided she wanted to be part of the DEU, the one person she had looked forward to meeting was Knight Silas von Lagon. He was the fearless leader of the twelfth division and had respect from those under him as well as those above. He was promising in the DEU and she knew that she wanted to be as close to him as she possibly could. When she found out that women couldn't be in the DEU, she was devastated, but decided that she wasn't going to let her gender stop her. She cut her hair, tied her breasts, and applied for the DEU. To her complete surprise, she ended up being an undersquire to Silas himself!
In all the time she had been there, though, Silas had never once been late in meeting her for practice. First the fainting and now this? she thought as she gave her horse a carrot to nibble on. She pet the horse's mane when she spotted her superior slowly walking towards her, looking a little flushed. She moved from the stable and walked up to him.
"Knight von Lagon?" she asked.
Silas massaged his forehead. "Yes, Undersquire?"
"Are you alright sir? You've never been late to practice..."
"Practice?"
"Yes, sir... Drills?"
"Drills?"
Bijela and Silas just stood there for a moment looking at each other. Silas rubbed the back of his head and nodded at the same time.
"Right, right... drills... fighting..."
"Sir?"
"What?" he grumbled.
"Are you sure you're alright? Are you..." Bijela leaned into him. "Are you drunk, sir?"
"Drunk? No, I'm not drunk. I just had a bad night last night. I had the most horrid dreams and kept waking up what seemed like every fifteen minutes and usually when I woke up, I had to vomit. It must have been something I ate..."
"You should go and see Dr. Mitchell. If this is throwing you off kilter so much..."
Silas took a step forward and felt his insides flip. He threw his hand over his mouth and Bijela looked at him in concern.
"Knight von Lagon?"
Silas leaned on the side of the building and threw up bile since he hadn't eaten at all. Everything felt off this morning... He stood back up and wiped his mouth with the back of his arm.
"I think I will take you up on that offer. I'm going to get a pass from High Knight la'Kefroumpoi to go and see the doctor."
Bijela watched her superior leave and hoped he would be alright. He had been so kind to her and she hoped nothing bad was going to happen.

High Knight la'Kefroumpoi lifted a golden eyebrow at his star knight.
"You need to go and see the doctor?"
"Yes."
"For what? I've known you for years and this is the first time I've ever heard of you using sick leave."
"I'm not sure what's happening, sir. All I know is that I can't go an hour without vomiting at least once and I'm so tired that it's taking all I can do not to curl up on your couch to take a nap. I had horrible dreams all night that kept me up and I'm suffering a massive migraine that makes it impossible to think."
High Knight la'Kefroumpoi motioned for him to come closer to his desk and Silas leaned over it.
"Did you touch anything out of the ordinary in that secret mission I sent you on yesterday?"
"No, I didn't... although I came across a boy that was there."
"A boy?"
"Yes; he seems to have been raised by the dragons. He gave me some bullshit story regarding the killing of a dragoness but other than that, I went in and vanquished the creature and her brood and went about my way."
"What did this boy tell you?"
"Something about getting dragoness blood in me would cause an issue with me." Silas laughed a little, standing back up. "He had this funny story about how if humans get dragoness blood in them when she is in the month of her brooding then they would be cursed or something to birth a dragon." The High Knight wasn't laughing though and Silas became concerned. "Sir?"
"Did you get blood on you?"
"Well of course I did."
"Did you have any cuts on you whatsoever?"
"Are you really feeding into this bullshit?"
"Just answer the question, Knight von Lagon." He said gruffly, his dark eyes piercing through his rose colored glasses.
"I'm not exactly sure. I may have had a tiny scratch but that would be about it..."
The High Knight drummed his fingers together, thinking over the issue. High Knight Gigandet la'Kefroumpoi was known for making rash decisions regarding the Nest Destroyers and usually his decisions were good but this... this wasn't going to be good.
"I'll allow your sick leave to visit Dr. Mitchell. Please report back to me as soon as you have an answer."
Silas nodded and left the room feeling uneasy and it wasn't because of his stomach.
