I witnessed a land filled with fire, with everything around me burning down to the ground. Buildings crumbled and broke down in the silenced city. There was barely anything—or anyone—here.

There were two towers in this place—this was Ecruteak City. One of the towers was completely destroyed, yet one remained to stand; it was the one that was already damaged and almost destroyed. However, now it's engulfed in flames like the rest of the buildings.

I heard a cry in the sky and noticed a red Pokemon circling the city. It was then I took the time to listen carefully and heard the sound of sobbing. Immediately, I got up on my feet and ran to the source.

I was surprised someone's still here. This place wasn't safe for anyone to roam around. I have to help them out of here!

Around the corner, in front of the Burned Tower, there was a boy crying—a boy that appeared so familiar to me.

"Silver..." I muttered.

On his knees, he cried as he clutched something tightly—in fact, a person. His eyes were shut but when they opened, I noticed the anguish and mortified expression within his red eyes. I took a closer look at the person he was hugging, only to be surprised he was hugging me—rather, a different 'me'.

Was this the past or the future?

"Lyra... What have I done...?" I heard Silver sobbed. Tears continued to slip down his face filled with scratches and bruises. His hands trembled as they secured the body closer to his.

I wanted to help him, only to remember this wasn't real. It was my future self that wanted to show me this. However, it was too painful to watch.

"Hey... Please wake up..." Silver muttered, "I found a place in Sinnoh, and there were so many Gracideas there... I'll take you there if you want! Just open your eyes..."

The red bird Pokémon cried louder, engulfing the city with more flames until they soon reached Silver.

Mortified, I ran up to him, trying to call out his name, only for me to watch him burn within the flames.

Then, everything turned white. Once again, I was in a room filled with nothing. I looked around and noticed my future self materializing in front of me. She still wore the large cloak around her body, hiding the tattered clothes which must've had been from the scene I saw.

"I couldn't stop him, no matter how hard I tried. My time's almost up, so this is my last chance," she spoke to me.

I remembered the scene very well. Ecruteak went into flames, Ho-oh raging in the sky with no signs of Lugia anywhere. Nothing was left standing.

"What you saw was my present, the future you will also achieve if Silver's thirst of revenge continues like this. Celebi's tired. It needs to rest. You must be the one to stop him. This is the last chance we have," she said.

"But... how do I stop him?"

"He's going to station at Sinnoh to summon the Legendary Pokémon Arceus. That Pokémon has the ability to create and destroy. I'm sure you know what Silver's going to do with it."

"Is he going to destroy this world?" I questioned.

"If my present becomes your present, then yes. You need to stop him from summoning that Legendary Pokémon."

I was still appalled at the information S was telling me. I wish it wasn't true, but I guess there are a few exceptions. She was my future, so I had to believe her. I want to believe her, but I also want to believe Silver won't think like that.

It feels too much like a dream, something I wish could end. This was all turning into a nightmare, and I want to wake up from it. I don't want to live like this.

But do I even have a choice?

"I'm sure the other guys can give you assistance. I have faith in Ethan, that he will come up with something soon. I wish my present Ethan would come and help me like he always would," S muttered despairingly.

I shook my head.

"I won't let your future come to life. I'll make sure you live in peace..."

S nodded, staring at her hands and body. Parts of her were disappearing, noting that her time was finally up. After this, she can rest assured. I will protect our future.

She looked up to me, with eyes filled with tears. S smiled gently, putting her hands behind her back before running up to me. She embraced me, and I began feeling a warm sensation.

I started seeing things in my head, multiple scenarios and situations flashing through my head. Were these her memories?

Slowly, I saw everything, of what she had to endure and what she unsuspectingly encountered. All of her deaths, all of her reincarnations, all of the times she cried over Silver's beaten body...

"I can only give you my memories as guidance. Don't share them; only you need to know. Rely on others but in the end, trust your intuitions. Thank you... " she sobbed, "Please... save Silver."

I tried to pat her back, only for my hands to go through her body. Slowly, she floated into the air and dispersed into light fragments. As she did so, I heard a voice call out to me.

"Lyra... Lyra..."

I turned towards the direction of the voice.

"Wake up... wake up... it's time..."

The room started to collapse and I went back to a deep slumber.
