Chapter 39

" This place is weird." Chloe said as we stepped through the door, her voice caused the man to spin around in shock." Where..." He trailed off and Chloe let out a nervous laugh before vanishing. " Sorry, Chloe kind of pops up when she wants to."

" The ancient one said that you were different. I did not realize-"

" That I'm more then one person? Yeah, it freaks people out at first but they usually keep quiet when the situation requires it. You'll get used to it." I assured.

" Actually, Miss Stone." A familiar voice called out from the other side of the room. " Your other selves, are why you are here." I turned, only to have a tea cup placed in my hands, so quickly that I dropped it. The tea cup froze before rising back up and I quickly took it. " Sorry." I apologized and the women smiled, before watching as Chloe reappeared and took the tea cup from me with a smirk. " Two days ago, I felt a trimmer of sorts. A rush of astral energy, beyond anything I had ever felt before."

" Sorry, but you've lost me." I admitted. " It's not that I dont believe in magic, or anything, but.." I trailed off and she nodded in understanding. " It's hard for some to believe at first, but in time they come to see it as a way of life."

" And you called us here to what? Pull a rabbit out of a hat?" Jami asked appearing beside Chloe, she was soon followed by Marley and Dahlia. " No. I called you here, to learn to better control not only your abilities, but yourselves, as well."

" Aria, this is crazy. You can't really be buying this?" Chloe said and Dahlia gave her a look. " And why not? It's not that much different then our trip to-"

" Asgard, was a different world, with real people. Not-"

" Why are you being so defensive about this?" Jami asked. " You've seen magic before. For crying out loud, Aria can duplicate herself based off of a skill she saw someone do using magic."

" Guys." Marley tried but I knew there was no stopping it as they began to shout at each other. " Theres no point Marley, they would argue with brick walls" I said and she let out a breath before looking at the lady. " If it shuts them up, I'm all for it."

" One of them bends reality, I dont even see how they can argue about this." I grumbled before looking toward the women who was watching them curiously. " Alright, where do we start?"

********

" Come on, Aria. This is ridiculous. We should just go home, and-"

" Chloe, you've been ranting for an hour." I said and she went quiet. " Besides, what makes this any different then what Dahlia can do?"

" That's what I'm saying. We should go, concentrate on finding the last stone."

" Chloe, we found one in a different dimension, a second on the other side of the universe. It took us three years just to find 4, at the rate I'm going..." I trailed off and she let out a sigh. " I just hope you know what your doing." She vanished and I leaned back against the wall of the small room I had been given, before looking down at the phone in my hand.

'Aria, we need your help' The message on the screen read.

I'm sorry, Steve, it's just not my fight anymore.

Happy Valentine's Day
