The army was ready. Soldiers lined up in front of bulking tanks. Helicopters hovered overhead. On the other side of the field, the Kaelim gathered, high-tech weapons at the ready. In front of the humans, Arrn stood, prepared to talk. The leader of the humans stood beside him.

Arrn stepped forward. "We have come to a solution." He projected his voice. "We have brought enough supplies to last us years. There is no need to destroy this planet."

The leader of the Kaelim stepped forward. "We will run out eventually. This is no good. We either take it all and leave, or destroy this planet."

The human leader flinched. He leaned towards Arrn, and whispered in his ear.

"If we do that, there will be no resources for anyone. The humans have proposed an idea. We can give supplies for now, and we will trade in the future. Natural resources for our technology. Do we have a deal?"

The Kaelim muttered among themselves. Their leader thought. The air felt tense, and ready to shatter at any moment. Finally, the leader spoke. "Yes. We have a deal. But, only if you return with us, Arrn. We can't leave anyone behind."

Arrn had to agree. The deal was on. And Earth was safe. After saying goodbye to the humans who helped him, Arrn boarded the Kaelim ship, and left Earth.
