a/n theres a lot more swearing for cancers pov just saying

at 7:30 all my shit was ready and i waited for the car to come pick me up, my music blasting loudly through my earphones. my parents had woken me up as early as possible but i pushed it back to the very last minute. my bag had been thrown down the wooden steps, which only held a few items i found essential, as my parents had insisted on me attending this bullshit school. to be honest i really didn't expect that to be their reactions. i expected some kind of denial or resistance, an argument or something. but no, they told me i had to attend, that it wasn't an option. i refuse to bring anything of importance as i don't believe that any of this scholarship shit was serious, and if it is, i am certainly not taking it seriously.

a black car slowly pulled into view and parked next to the sidewalk. so i get up going swiftly down the steps, swiping my bag up and on my shoulder. i pushed my hand through my disheveled hair and a man from the driver's side had exited the vehicle. he starts walking up to me and i study his attire. he's wearing a black blouse with black pants and dark sunglasses hid his eyes and he had an ear piece in. he looks absolutely ridiculous.

"i'll take your bag" his voice is cold and emotionless and i barely acknowledge his presence before mumbling a,

"i'm fine"

"someone will come shortly to pick up the rest of your belongings" his voice still monotone.

i try to contain a scoff. good luck with that. without turning around i shrug and reply in the same cold ass tone,

"no need"

the man quickens his pace, like he wants to get to the car first but my hand's already reaching out to open the door. the car is pretty spacious, three seats in the far back, two in the row in front of it, one on each side of the windows. the driver's seat and shotgun is separated from it all and a window is placed at head level to allow us to see everything happening. the man sat in his designated seat and i sit in the back left corner. the driver looks up at me using his rear view mirror, before speaking in his emotionless voice again.

"i apologize for any inconveniences" this man is seriously pissing me off and i really don't want to speak with him. i spot a small button underneath the small window, so i get up and press it. once i do a thicker black glass glides up the clear one concealing all and everything. i sit back down and kick my bag between the two seats ahead. i go to rest my head against the window and i wish this was all just a fucking joke. this is such bullshit.

after a bit the car came to a complete stop. i look out the window and realize we're in a parking lot. we're picking someone else up. the house seems very small and i undo my seatbelt allowing myself to slide down to the seat on the opposite end, so i can get a better view at what's going on. no one was waiting outside and the man walks up to the door, visibly knocking harshly onto it. when no one answers he goes in harder. the door finally opens by a slit barely allowing me to view the person on the inside. whoever is holding the door pokes her body a little further but kept the door close to its frame. a small woman, whose hair was pulled loosely in a bun and tears streaming down her face is visible through the slim opening of the door. she is visibly upset but the man had no reaction to it. she spoke but i can't hear her due to the distance and the fact the window's rolled up. so i focus on her lips and the only words i catch are please and no, as she uses them repeatedly, as her lips quiver and she shakes her head. the man then says something and doesn't look phased by the woman's sobbing. i roll down the window a bit in hopes to hear and the first sounds i do hear are the woman's cries.
