pisces pov
i am about three minutes away from completely losing it. i've been arguing with cancer for like the past ten hours and he refuses to admit he's wrong. i need to calm down before i actually end up ripping all my hair out. i roll my eyes at some stupid remark he makes and out of the corner of my eye i spot taurus, the girl from the car. she glances this way and we make eye contact. she looks uncomfortable, basically on top of libra, who frankly looked like he might fall off. knowing her after only a few hours, i could tell she wasn't very social and i debate going over there to invite her to sit elsewhere.
"you aren't even fucking listening to me"
i look straight at cancer, "you are such a child" i bluntly state.
he looks pissed but doesn't say anything and pushes himself further back into the couch. his gaze shifts away from mine and he focuses on something ahead, jaw clenched. looking ahead all there is is libra attempting conversation and taurus playing with the cuffs of her hoodie sleeves.
that's when a fancy lady dressed in a white pantsuit walks in, black heels clicking on the marbled floor. she clears her throat as if everyone wasn't already fixating on her, awaiting an explanation to all this ridiculousness.
"i'm going to make this quick. as i do have more pressing matters to take care of." she took a pause, her voice was cold and bared no emotion whatsoever before she continued again. "i would like to start off with how things will be run in this school. there are four living quarters. each associated with your elements which will be given to you shortly. there are three students per sign so three per dorm." she spoke slowly and took large pauses as if she were talking to a group of incapable toddlers. "
"classes are from 9:00 AM until 1:45, monday to friday. you will get days off on certain holidays founded appropriate. you are all required to stay on campus during all times. not that you will find yourselves cable of leaving without being permitted to." at this pause she gave the smallest smile before returning to her monotone speech. a shiver ran up my spine and i attempt to shake it off, earning a weird look from cancer next to me. the clicking of her heels continued. the delicate small crystals on her ears dangled in response to the sudden movement. her hair being pinned tightly above her head.
"all of your belongings have already been placed and the living quarters are completely furnished. all four buildings are place next to one another and there is a fifth, slightly larger building. the 'space' building is a sort of entertainment room, so you may do as you please. other students may visit other quarters and we expect all good behaviors of you. something i do advise is making sure your actions exceed our expectations and to keep in mind what our facility may await of you. you will find it very helpful in the near future." she stood stiff for a few moments, her face completely blank and expressionless. her lips pursed tightly, coated in a dark red lipstick. her hands by her sides, and in a blink and no other motion, she snaps her fingers and proceeds to walk up the elegant staircase.
the weird men from earlier enter the room once more with various colored cards.
"your card are your keys, your element represents your living quarters." one of the strange men exclaimed loudly. all of these men look strangely similar and it's low key creepy. i was handed a light blue card with a bunch of numbers in a single line along half the center. the words water sign had been etched onto the right corner. along the bottom of the back of the card was a black bar, probably being a bar code. i look over to cancer to see him holding a card with the color identical to mine.
"great" i mumble. "now i gotta room with this idiot." he shoots me a glare before he looks towards taurus for the color of her card. which to my disappointment was a light green. she hadn't seem to like cancer very much, we could've bonded over our mutual dislike for the boy. cancer noticed but didn't seem to care, his eyes searching around the room for the third water sign.

we we're lead to our dorms, where we left to sort things out ourselves. the third blue card ended up being given to some guy i didn't know, probably from the second school. his hair was dark contrasting against his blue eyes, making them super bright. you could say i wasn't exactly thrilled to be sharing my new temporary home with two adolescent boys. one of which being a complete stranger. i assumed our dorm house would be the one painted in blue, as the water signs have been associated with said color. if we refer to our key cards and even our envelope seals from our welcoming letters. walking up to the black door I spot a small metallic box, a few centimeters bellow the door knob. a slit going through it's side. i inspect the key card given to me before placing it into the slit and swiping it down. a little green light suddenly flashes on the top of the metal box, but no clicking sound occurred and the door didn't seem to be anymore prone to opening. i scrunch up my face in slight confusion before deciding to repeat my actions swiping the card once more. the same green light flashing upon the metal.
"jesus picses." i hear cancer mumble out from behind me, reaching his arm around me. his hand reaching down for the door knob and his arm brushing up against my shoulder. it feels like tingles shoot up my arms and i feel my cheeks burn red as i start to blush. typical red head struggles. cancer twists the door knob and pushes the door open, removing his hand. i cough a bit to hide my embarrassment.
"i could've done that." i mumble quietly before starting to head inside the confinements of the small home.
upon entering, i can't help myself from gasping. it was honestly quite pretty for a school dorm. on my left was a small and cozy looking living room. a single long couch facing a small television and a coffee table being placed in the center. the floor being carpeted a deep navy blue color. a glass vase filled with flowers upon the middle of the white coffee table. on the opposite side being a kitchen, about equal in size to the living room area. a stove, a microwave, a small fridge and freezer even a dishwasher could be found next to the sink. right next to the window a white table was set up. surrounded by four white chairs, matching the color of the pantries. a stair case was placed in the middle of both rooms and so i decide to start heading up. climbing up to be greeted by a long corridor, a door at the very end,and the walls being painted a light blue. a handful of doors were on either side of me and so i open up the one being closest to me on my left. as soon as the door opens, i'm hit by an awfully familiar smell. i can't exactly associate it with anything right away. the room was completely furnished, with a bed and desks, bags scattered around the floor. this was a room , and by the looks of it, it probably wasn't mine. finally associating the scent with something i speak up,
"hey cancer, is any of this stuff yours?" the boy who had previously been on his phone, looked up almost immediately. he stepped forward and froze behind me, i could feel his breath faintly fanning across my neck.
"what the fuck"
a/n so i'm aware my updating schedule sucks ass but i promise i'm working on ittt. i also wanna thank you guys for 1K, it really means so a lot to me, so thank you sososo much for not giving up on this shitty story.
