"Doses and mimosas, champaign and cocaine..." she sang, her voice filling out my bedroom.
"You really like that song... why?" I ask and she laughs at me, pinching my cheeks in a childlike way.
"Because my dear boyfriend, it reminds me that life is short, so do the craziest shit while you can," she says, dancing to the blaring music. I shook my head, trying to focus on my studies.
"Can you turn that down a bit?" I say, motioning to my homework.
She groans and turns it off, "Okay what's up?" she says and I ignore her trying to focus on my pencil aligning with the paper lines.
"I should ask you the same thing..." I trail off and she scoffs.
"What is that supposed to mean?" she ask with yearning eyes.
"I'm saying... ever since their accident, you've changed," I say and she glares at me, upset that I brought it up.
"I told you to never speak of it Luc!" she shouts, tears threatening spill.
"I'm speaking of it because I care about you Blue," I whisper, rubbing her arms soothingly as she heavily breathes.
"I... it hurts," she crys silently and I take her into my arms, rocking her slowly, side to side.
"I know you miss them," I whisper and she nods as she bawls into my shirt. I take her to lie down on my bed and wrap my arms around her once again.
"I don't have anyone left..." she cries.
"You have your Aunt and Uncle, cousin Betty... and you have me," I smile.
She lifts her head, her eyes swelled with fresh tears, "Forever and always?" she says, holding out her pinky.
I wrap mine around hers, "Forever babe,"
