Please check out The Laws of the Universe. This isn't much of a cliche-centered novel, but kind of based off of girl's insecurities and difficulties. It's kind of, in some ways, a little piece of me. I poured my heart out in that book, though the pieces of me are subtle.

The Bucket List
Item Number Five: Embarrass Myself
I sat down by the window, in back of the bookshelf—the only place the librarian couldn't see me in—and sunk into my book. I was currently reading A Walk to Remember (just starting the first page actually) and I was already blue. I wasn't much of a romantic, but I began to momentarily think like one. I was sitting in the one spot where I knew would be the perfect place to have a first kiss in.
The library was my haven; books were my favorite little creatures. My mom always told me that a book was an escape for the soul into a fantasy greater than we could experience or touch. And she really was spot on about that.
"No, Nicholas Sparks! Stop making me cry." I whispered to myself as I read on.
"I didn't peg you as a romantic, Farrah." I heard a soft voice say.
I turned my face quickly and noticed for the first time a beautiful boy who, by the looks of it, had been searching through the shelves too. I could see in his hands The Book Thief. I was swoon at the thought that he could actually love books as much as I did.
"I'm actually not," I assured him. "But it actually happens to be my favorite movie."
He smirked and I sort of blushed, "Fair enough. So what are you doing all alone in the library in a spot so secluded?"
"I'd ask you the same thing. No one really knows this spot because there's that other book shelf hiding it."
"Well, the best books of this school happen to be on these shelves." He smiled and my heart skipped a beat.
"I didn't peg you as a reader." I said astounded.
"I'm offended," He joked, "For your information, reading is my favorite passtime. This book I'm particularily intrigued by."
I nodded in agreement and replied, "You'll love it. Markus Zusak's writing style is amazing."
He smiled boyishly, "Mind if I join you?"
As if my heart wasn't beating fast already, my insides turned to mush. I was unable to find the proper way to say, "Yes and while you're at it, marry me" so instead, I nodded.
"So, I never got a chance to say thank you for the other day when I fainted. Jayden told me what happened and how he was going to just leave me there but that you intervened." I said softly.
"Farrah, you don't have to thank me. Anyone—even Jayden—would have done the same thing." He assured me as he sat down, leaving a gap between us.
"But thank you though." I muttered. He opened his book and started reading. I resumed to mine, dazed and on edge. He had that effect on people.
"You know," he said suddenly, still looking down at the words, "you're probably the only girl I've met in a long time that actually bothers to read."
"Is that a bad thing?..."
He laughs slightly as if it were obvious, "No, quite the opposite really. I like that."
My heart stopped and my face blushed a few shades of red. Oh damn.
