I'm getting bigger . I'm gaining too much weight . I used to be 90lbs . Now I'm 160. Everyday he notices my cravings , my jeans aren't fitting , we are constantly shopping when he comes down to see me . I told my mom . I told Colton . My dad knows . His mom knows. He doesn't . But luckly winter break is coming and were all gonna be back home again . So we can all surprise him - December comes along and they go on winter break letting students go home over break . Mayra arrives at home seeing her mother , father and brother waving at her , while the cab stops letting him getting the car to open the door for mayra as her brother comes up and give her a hug and grabs her bags for her - " thank you little bolt" . " you are welcome my little mummy". "Good memories ah". " well yea , so when is Jose coming down ". " he will be here tomorrow just in time for our family gathering , so I can tell him.... but you think you can take me to my doctor's appointment" . " for the baby?". "......yeah". " well anything for you ". " thanks cause I want to surprise mom and dad , and mrs. Chavez with the gender cause all they know is I'm pregnant " . " well surprise me too cause I told morene but she thinks you're having a girl I said it's a boy ". " is she coming tomorrow ? " . " okay enough cause I know you are freezing in the snow lets get you settled then we can go " - mayra and Colton both walked into the house leaving mayra to give her parents hugs and kisses while Colton took her bags to her room to come back downstairs - " how do you like yale so far darling " . " well I'm on top of all my classes it's just I don't like the fact I can't make it to my classes on time with being fat . They understand but it sucks I hate losing my breath so easy . " when your mother told me she was pregnant she lost her breath so fast when she was 4 months mind you she just when to get 3rd doctors appointment to find out we were having twins . We were originally supposed to have two boys , mayra your name would have been Connor if you were a boy" . " does twins run in our family?" . Bye, we love you " - Colton and mayra both left and got into the car and drove to the clinic so mayra can get a check up they get into the clinic , mayra signs the papers and waits for approximately 45 minutes before getting called into the room - " hello dear , so is this your first baby ?". " yes". "Awe so exciting isn't it". " indeed , but then again this is my 2nd check up with out my he or she's father" . " so he doesn't know , okay ....cutee well how bout you lay down so I can see what's going on inside the belly " - mayra lays down and lifts her shirt up . The nurse puts the jell on mayras belly to find out mayra is having twins - " well you're babies both look healthy , would you like to know the genders?". " babies?"." Dear you are pregnant with twins , congratulations" - few hours go by and mayra is sitting on her bed thinking about having to take care of twins while barely being able to take care of one - can I take care of two let alone one . I don't think I can keep them both . He is gonna be mad at me for lying . What am I gonna do - mayra goes to the baby store to get 6 baby onesies saying " you are a father of two " " you are a Grandma of two" and so on and so fourth . She gets into the cab and goes home, into her room and puts the onesies into the gift bags for jose , mrs.carter , ms.Chavez , mr.Carter , mrs.Gonzalez and Colton then puts the gift bags under the Christmas tree - " mayra , honey what's wrong " . " well I'm going to be a father". " yes babe" - Jose got excited and picked up mayra and started kissing her - " I love you " ." I love you to mi corazón " - Jose put mayra down and picked up his bags to Take them upstairs to mayra's room and settled In - " I didn't know he was here mija". "I know abuela ...it's okay he was gonna find out in a few days anyway". Maybe it was best to keep my mouth shut . Who knows maybe he was mad at me but wanted me to think he was excited for a bundle of joy. Little does he know it's bundle. maybe I should give them the onesies now.
