"I'd say he's around 6 months old" Coran said.
Everyone had gathered in the lounge. Keith and Shiro explained what happened. Figuring out what's wrong with Shiro was vital if they were to help Lance age up.
Coran had explained that what happened with Shiro had set Lance back. Fear took over and in order to protect himself, the Lorvans Magic reverted him back to a baby.
"so our progress is gone? He will have to live through all of that again!" Keith asked exasperated.
Coran nodded solemnly. "Does anyone know how to take care of a baby?" He asked.
Everyone looked at each other in silence. To be fair apart from Coran, everyone was far too young to know how to properly take care of a baby.
"We will just have to work together." Shiro said.
Keith held a sleeping Lance on the opposite side of the room to Shiro.
"I think you should stay away from him" Keith said. "Just until we figure out what happened in observatory."
Shiro nodded. He didn't want to interfere with Lance returning to normal.
"Okay," The princess said standing up. " Coran, Pidge and I will work with Shiro to figure out what's going on. Keith and Hunk you take care of Lance."
The group spilt, Coran, Allura, Pidge and Shiro left for the main room leaving Hunk, Keith and Lance alone.
"You - uh, know how to take care of a baby?" Keith asked.
"Ish? I can take changing and feeding. I've done so with my younger siblings and you can put him to sleep and bathe him."
Keith only nodded. He had no idea how he was supposed to care for the child as well as defend the universe.
They had been lucky that Voltron wasn't needed, but that can easily change. Lotor still had Galra against him, and Sendak wouldn't back off just because we had a baby.
The next few weeks consisted of Keith and Hunk playing parents. They were extremely lucky that Sendak hadn't found them. However Lance hadn't aged since turning 6 months old.
No one could tell what was wrong or how to fix it as Lance couldn't talk.
Keith kept a close eye on Lance. He would randomly start crying unless he was being held by Keith. Lance would only sometimes go to Hunk, it depend solely on if he had been with Keith or not.
If Keith handed him to Hunk, he would go quietly after reassurance. If Hunk just picked him up he would scream and cry until Keith held him.
Lance was a pretty good baby otherwise, he would eat, sleep and bathe easily. As long as it was Keith. Baby Lance was very attached to the red paladin. Their bond from the start of the ordeal hadn't disappeared, even as a baby, Lance told them that Keith was the only one he trusted.
In the end it was Pidge who figured out why. They were all sitting the lounge, where Pidge produced the bottle of Lances memories.
"Pidge, you know the memories only contain from ages 3 and up, why do you have it ?" Hunk asked
"If my theory is correct, Lance will be able to age up and we can see these once more." Pidge said pushing up her glasses.
"Lance doesn't like being left alone. He has to be with Keith. He may have called him dad when he was older, but views him as he does his mother. He feels safe and protected with Keith. When Keith gives him to someone else or someone else takes him, it's like his mother giving him away, possibly to his father."
