I look at my reflection in the mirror and I sigh. Maybe we shouldn't have set the date right after I gave birth to Chelsea. Well, okay, it's been three months, but I don't like the way I look in this dress. I called the seamstress last night, begging her to make a couple more changes so I felt more comfortable. She's a nice lady, she didn't say no, but when she arrived, I could tell she wasn't extremely happy to have to visit me at 10 pm.

I chose to get married at home. My father's mansion is huge and gorgeous, the rose garden my mother maintained so meticulously is the perfect location. Right now I'm in my bedroom, I undressed to nurse my perfect little angel. She doesn't care that Mommy and Daddy have a wedding to attend shortly. There's a soft knock on the door and once I cover myself up, I ask whoever is on the other side to come in.

"Hey." Jessica smiles at us, entering the room. "Is everything okay in here?"

"Fine." I nod, smiling back at her.

Jessica is amazing. I'm so happy for my father that he's found her. She's like night and day compared to that gold digger. No woman would ever replace my own mother, but Jessica has come as close to that as possible. She's been helping me a lot with the baby, she has two kids of her own. I was terrified at first, when Lindsey and I brought Chelsea home from the hospital, all the tips Jessica has shared have been a huge help.

"I can take her, you should get ready, Stevie." Jessica says, holding her arms out for my daughter and without hesitation I place my angel in them with trust.

"Have you seen Lindsey?"

"He's downstairs, talking to his brother. Well, actually, his brother is talking to him, because Lindsey's very clearly freaking out." Jessica laughs lightly, sitting down on the bed with Chelsea. "I heared him say, what if she doesn't show up?"

"What a silly man." I shake my head, walking over to the vanity to start applying makeup. "I would never do that. Lindsey and our daughter – they're my whole world."

"As it should be." Jessica nods her head. "Are you nervous at all?"

"A little." I shrug. "I'm excited. I didn't think two years ago I'd be here today. I never imagined my life would be like this, at least not until I'm like thirty."

"The heart wants what it wants, sweetheart."

I couldn't agree more.

My nerves vanish completely, while I'm getting ready, Jessica talks to me the whole time, sharing her own life with me. I don't know what my father's thinking, but he should have put a ring on her finger by now. I genuinely hope he's going to do it soon. Jessica is a catch. She's with my Dad for who he is as a person, she doesn't care about his bank account or this house, or our villa, where we used to spend our vacations. She hasn't asked him for a brand new car, she doesn't beg for clothes and jewelry. She's here for him.

"Well, how do I look?" I take a deep breath, standing in front of Jessica, my makeup done and I've put on my dress too.

"You look stunning. Lindsey will think so, too." She smiles at me warmly and I sigh in relief.

Taking my baby back into my arms, I cuddle Chelsea close to my chest. I tell her, I love her to the moon and back, I kiss her chubby cheeks and Jessica takes her again, when my father comes into the room. Jessica leaves, taking my daughter with her to take her seat. Dad approaches me, placing his hands on my shoulders, he gives me a squeeze.

"You're all grown up, sweetheart." I can see it on his face, he's proud of me, he's proud of the fact I stood up to him and I chose what the right things was for me. He has actually told me that himself. "Ready?"

"Ready." I say, nodding my head once.

He takes my hand and we walk downstairs and through the glass door into the backyard. The guests turn to look at me, but my eyes are locked with Lindsey's. He's grinning widely and it makes me chuckle. I can't wait to be married to him.

My father walks me down the aisle and when I approach Lindsey, I instantly let go of my Dad, taking Lindsey's held out hand. "Hey." I whisper to him.

"Hey." He does the same, telling me I look beautiful.

"Take good care of my daughter." My father says, patting Lindsey on the back, then he joins Jessica and Chelsea.

The ceremony begins and it's somewhat of a blur. I'm completely focused on Lindsey, I'm captivated by him and I'm afraid I'm going to burst into tears. I love him. I just love him so much.

"Steph?" His voice brings me back to the present and I look at him confused. "It's your turn, baby." He chuckles lowly and I realize, he's already slipped the ring on my finger.

I compose myself and repeat after the officiant, meaning every word that's coming out of my mouth. I smile, putting the ring on his finger too and... and he's mine. Lindsey is my husband. I am his wife.

"You may kiss the bride." I hear and I completely melt in Lindsey's arms, once he wraps them around me, kissing me for the first time. And it does feel like the first time we've kissed.

When we pull away, I don't pull back too far. I look at his handsome face and I lean in to whisper. "You're going to be a Daddy again."
