Extinct Love

Chapter 1

  The new semester begun; September 2018. Nothing more than just hot air headed kids and teachers with the same routines and attitudes as last year.

MARK'S POV

"Wake up!It's 8am!!!" Mother screamed crashing into my room. Her loud voice instantly awakening me from my much desired sleep.

"Mom!?! What are yo... Wait It's eight am already?!" I asked dumbfounded, my eyes wide as saucers, staring at the analog clock with my blurred vision. I flung the blanket off of me and jumped out of bed. I checked my iphone beside my bedhead and surely enough, it was one minute to eight.
The most important day in the school year and I woke up late. Waw.

"Just go shower. Your toast is already out fresh and hot. I already packed your books last night and I'll pick out what you'll wear before you're finished." Mom said with a smile on her face. I walked up to her , brushed her hair to her left and thanked her.

She left soon after but not before placing a quick kiss on my forehead. I closed the door then walked into my bathroom, on the left of the room. While showering, it became quite clear to me that its my final year in this shit hole and now its time to work harder than before.
But. I can't stop remembering what happened to me months ago.
Every story should be told, but not now, my memory wasn't allowing me to recall anything.

After showering, I slipped on a black levi's jeans with a blue T-shirt.
"Wow mom, what a sense of style." I thought.
After brushing my hair, I found a piece of paper on my dresser.
My elder brother who left for college that morning wrote a note for me;
"Hey loser. Sorry I couldnt give you one last hug this morning but remember that this is your final year and people will try to break you, but those shitheads arent worth the retaliation. I'll be returning home for Christmas so I'll see you soon. And dont let "that" get to your head ok. See yah!"

"That? Hmm. Why does everyone know something about me , and I dont even know my self?" I asked myself.

With a quiet sigh, I got dressed and went to the kitchen where mother's face was red as a cherry...I knew that I was gonna get scolded for being late so I just zoned out while eating my french garlic toast and cheeze. While mom was scolding me, I was out of it. I cant seem to get these figures out of my mind. A strong headache hit me, and I snapped back into reality. Why...was my mother shaking me and my eyes.... were watering?...
I dont know but I left for school immediately without a word.
"Bye love. Be safe. I'll see you around 10pm." Mother said as she went back inside to get ready for work.

"Hey Lil Mack! Your'e Late!Hop In." Someone shouted a block away.

"Huh? Oh. Its you." I replied.

"Well thats not the way you greet your surperiors" Tyler said with a smirk on his face.
    I got into his little Nissan Car and buckled the front seatbelt.

"So it's your first day as a senior right?If theres one thing, those freshman and Sophmores would try their best to get senior dick so dont fall for any of their tricks alright." Tyler Said.

I replied with a chuckle," Sureeee. I dont want to show my neighbor up right?"

Tyler shrugged and laughed at my comment."So why are you so late anyway?"

I replied," Woke up late. I couldnt sleep, typical insomnia. And how about you?"

"Well my college is only one hour away and my 1st class starts at 10 am so I'm pretty early" Tyler responded.

" Ahhh. College life my dude.Oh. Look,I can see school from here." I replied staring intentively at the school top floors.

Tyler~"Yup. Its ok once you know the basics. And tell Mr.Patt I said hey. Oh. Isnt that Blake and Ashley. You kids sure grow up fast."

As the car stopped, I took my first step onto the compound and already the familiar faces reached out to me.

Ashley~"How was your vacation besty?"

Blake~"Hey dude,you got that hotty number from the mall?"

"WOAH. Too many questions!!" I shouted.

Ashley~" WHY THE HELL WERE YOU LATE ANYWAY IDIOT? I called you like thirty times... and no answer."

Blake~" Hm. I texted a few times around 7 and no reply either."

" Sorry guys. I woke up late. HaHa... Its wont happen again. So about my vacation----I was cut off by the school bell"

Both Ashley and Blake gave me a farewell and I went to the School halls.

"HEY OLDMAN! HOW YOU BEEN!!" A loud echoeing voice came across the hallway....
