The rest of the day went slow, with Jac stuck in other meetings and Fletch confines to paperwork in his office. Eventually the time came for them both to get their stuff together and leave the hospital. They had texted each other throughout the day planning what was going to happen, Jac had to be sneaky as she was messaging during a meeting. The plan was to go to their own respected houses so Jac and Emma could pack a few things. Fletch would then pick them up and go collect the pizza he would order. And the rest only time would tell.

They didn't see each other as they left the hospital or at the crèche. It was expected as Jac had finished slightly earlier than normal, allowing her to get ready. She had given herself 45 minutes and by the time she arrived at Fletch's it would probably be around 18:00.

Emma was more than happy to go to Fletch's house, even if it did take the whole car journey to explain it to her in a way she wouldn't get upset or offended. When they arrived home Jac sent her daughter to go pack the things she wanted to take and gave her her favourite small Elsa suitcase to put them in. While her mini me got set on deciding which teddies and to bring, Jac took herself upstairs to pack clothes and essentials before she put on her makeup and did her hair. "Ah perfect. And right on time as well." She muttered to herself as she glanced at her bedside clock. Fletch was due any minute. And right on queue there was a knock on the front door. The same soft knock. "Emma do mummy a favour and go let Fletch in please. You can show him your suitcase." She shouted down the stairs. Emma's footsteps sounded more like elephants as she plodded to the door. "Right Naylor, this is your chance." She mumbled, reading herself for what was to come.
Jac walked down the staircase to find Fletch on his knees pretending to admire Emma's suitcase and packing. Even I have to admit it's not bad packing for a five year old, she thought to herself, gazing at the scene in front of her.
"Ah speak of the devil." Fletch said, noticing Jac standing at the doorway. "You ready?"
This is it. All systems go. "Yeah, I'm ready."
"Great. Now let's go collect that pizza." A huge smile was spread across his face. It rubbed of on Emma as she too had a grin from ear to ear.

They walked out to the car, Fletch and Emma both laughing at something he had said. A small smile had grown on Jac's face as she got into the car. Everything was as it should be, and they hadn't even left her driveway. Fletch had noticed her smile as he placed his hand on Jac's knee and gave her a smile back.
"Mummy and Fletch sitting in a tree." Emma blurted out loud. Jac shot round and glared at her daughter.
"K-I-S-S-I-N-G" she continued.
"Emma stop that now." The smile has vanished and her face was filled with embarrassment and anger.
"First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a baby in a baby's carriage." The young girl just smiled and laughed as she finished the song.
"Emma. What have I told you about doing that."
"Oh is she's done it before has she?" Asked Fletch, who was now driving to collect the pizza. He smirked and raised an eyebrow as he turned a corner.
"Yeah it's nothing, sorry" Jac felt embarrassed and just sunk into her seat. She couldn't bring herself to look at him so she stared out the window instead. She had to pretend she didn't feel like that but under the surface, she would give almost anything for that to be true.
"Jac it's ok. It's just some rhyme she picked up at the crèche probably. I mean I don't think she even knows what she's saying." He tried to make her feel better but all it did was make her feel worse. It made her feel that he didn't feel the same and it was a one way thing.
"Oh I meant it and I know what it means. Me and Theo sing it everyday. Mummy talks about you all the time Fletch and Theo says you talk about mummy just as much. Oh look a doggy!" Emma pointed to the dog on the pavement.
"Can we talk about this later please?" Jac asked, her cheeks red.
"Of course." His voice was so sympathetic and understanding. "Now time to get pizza."
Jac gave a small smile as Fletch went into dominos to collect dinner. Later she would tell him how she felt. And she couldn't be more confident about it, thanks to Emma.
