Lisa and Jennie started dating secretly. Whenever their parents have meetings and stuff they sneaked to their hotel room and spent their time cuddling, kissing, or watching movies. Surely, these teenagers are madly in love to each other. They're inseparable. The oblivious parents see their closeness as a normal friendship but Jennie and Lisa knows the truth. They love each other. They can't live without each other. And whenever they were together, it's like cloud nine, euphoria, and bliss. It feels like they reached nirvana, but nothing lasts forever.
The day that they were fearing came. The day when Jennie needs to go home, the day they need to separate. The 2-month business trip of Jennie's mom was already finished and they need to go back to New Zealand to officially start their business.
"Please don't go." Lisa said weeping as she hugged Jennie tightly, not wanting to let her go.
"Only if I could, I would but I can't, baby." Jennie said sobbing. She pitied her girlfriend for crying this hard despite of having a strong personality outside.
"I'll come back. I'll save money from my allowance so that I can go here during your summer vacation." Jennie said trying to comfort her crying girlfriend but no avail. She just cried harder.
"Please baby don't make this hard for us. We'll talk everyday thru phone calls and we can see each other in Skype."
"But I want to see you physically. I want to hug you, to hold you."
"I love you, Lisa. We will get through this." Jennie said as Lisa broke the hug and looked at her girlfriend.
"Please do remember that I love you so much Jennie. I will never get tired of reminding you how much I love you everyday. I'll miss you but I will endure it." Lisa said.
"Promise me that you will never look at other girls or boys out there. Promise me that your heart will only beat for me. Please Lisa promise me."
"I promised." Lisa said as she wiped Jennie's tears and then wiped her own.
Lisa slowly closed the gap between them and kiss Jennie passionately, slowly, the kind of kiss that is not rushed, and they both hope that it will last forever or at least the feeling of their lips together will last forever.
"I love you, Lisa. Forever."
"I love you, Jennie. And for always."
9,567 km apart and the 5 hour gap between their time zones is no joke. They only talk less than one hour during weekdays when Lisa's on the way home from school at 5:00 pm Thailand time and when Jennie's doing her homework at 10:00 pm New Zealand time. It's hard. Really hard.
"I miss you, baby" Jennie said while crying subtly. Her pillows are the witnesses of how Jennie misses Lisa every single moment of her life.
"I miss you so much more, Jen. I can't wait to see you again. I've been saving three-fourths of my allowance to buy a plane ticket to go there." Lisa said happily that made Jennie smile.
"Are you crying again, baby? Don't be. I don't want you to be sad. We'll get through this right? We can do this. Even if there are oceans and land masses that separates us, the love that binds us will never be broken."
"I love you so much, Lisa."
"I love you too Jennie. Please dont get tired of this setup."
"I will never."
That's their usual setup every weekdays but every weekends, they will spent their whole day in their room, talking to each other like their's no tomorrow.
"Babe, can you sing me for me?" That's Jennie. She's getting ready to got to bed but has no planning sleeping.
"Alright. There's a song that I've been listening to lately. I'm dying to sing this for you. Listen carefully. This is my message for you."
Lisa started strumming her guitar and an unfamiliar song welcomed Jennie.
Oceans apart, day after day
And I slowly go insane
I hear your voice, on the line
But it doesn't stop the pain
If I see you next to never
how can we say forever
Jennie's tears started to fall as she listen to the song Lisa was singing. This song really suit them.
Wherever you go, whatever you do
I will be right here, waiting for you
Whatever it takes, or how my heart breaks
I will be right here waiting for you
Jennie heard Lisa's light sobs but Lisa continued singing. It broke Jennie's heart. Listening to the love of her life cry.
I took for granted, all The times
That I thought would last somehow
I hear the laughter, I taste the tears
But I can't get near you now
Oh can't you see it baby,
You've got me going crazy
If Lisa only knows that Jennie will just stay for 2 months, then she should've go to the lake and sing a Korean song sooner to find her sooner. If only Jennie know that Lisa liked her then she should've confessed sooner.
Wherever you go, whatever you do
I will be right here, waiting for you
Whatever it takes, or how my heart breaks
I will be right here waiting for you
Jennie joined Lisa singing as she already memorized the chorus part. They sang their hearts out, as if they let the melody of the song say how much they missed it other and how much they are willing to wait.
I wonder how we can survive, this romance
But in the end if I'm with you, I'll take the chance
Oh you can't see it baby
You've got me going crazy
'Can we make it? Can we endure this pain for a long time?' That's the question both the lovers asked.
Wherever you go, whatever you do
I will be right here, waiting for you
Whatever it takes, or how my heart breaks
I will be right here waiting for you.
Waiting for you....
But one thing's for sure..
"We can do this, Jennie."
"I'll wait for you, Lisa."
