Caramelize
Or was it caramel eyes
I have trouble these days
With distinguishing between the two

The Two

One of two:
His left hand;
All knuckle, ring, erect forefinger
Two of two:

My right hand;
All bit nail, split callus, paint
I remember now

It was caramel eyes- his, if I recall correctly
Every part has a brain- that's why I was able to say
"My hands have a mind of their own"
When I snaked my fingers into his

I could tell as the words left my lips
The synapses of his left hand fired just as quick as the synapses of my right
The mind of his ears worked double time

To take in what I said
To work it through his brain's lips
To chew apart my words

Use the tongue
