Evan's PoV
Groaning I stretch my arms above my head, letting a moan slip past my lips. It was the start of another year full of hell. Great. I was prepared physically, but not mentally. Dreading the start of the year I stood up, throwing the covers off myself to the corner of my bed. I knew my mom would nag but that isn't my concern at the moment. My mother flung the door open, slowly walking in with narrow eyes she turned her attention to my bed. I already knew what she was going to say
"Aren't you gonna' make your bed? It looks trashy" She placed her hands on her hips with a frown. Groaning out I rub my eyes, the headache already brewing. I wish she'd go back downstairs.."Mom I'll get it later" I whined while she simply shook her head with disappointment. "Come down for breakfast" Mumbling out she turned away, walking back down the stairs. Walking over to my closet I open the door, scanning the clothes scattered around. I wasn't sure what I was going to wear, but I knew there was no way in hell I was going to wear green. A red short-sleeved shirt and some ripped jeans caught my attention along with my favorite white vans.

Looking in the mirror I find myself doing a small spin, admiring my body. All of my friends and family say I'm too skinny.. I happen to think I'm perfectly fine. I have some muscle on my body but not too much. I slowly walk into the bathroom, opening the cabinet to grab my toothbrush. Wetting my toothbrush I put toothpaste on it and wet it again. I hope I'm not the only one who does that. After I'm done brushing my teeth I realize I haven't done my hair.
Shit...
At this point, I'll end up being late, oh well. Lazy day every day, it's staying poofy today. Immediately when I enter the kitchen the delicious smell of pancakes hit my nose. Peering through the doorway my mother and sister, Isabelle are eating pancakes and scrambled eggs while my father, on the other hand, was doing dishes with a pink apron. My dad was more of a mom if I had to be honest. I quickly put my hand against my mouth to suppress my laughter, my mother glanced up at me and smile while Izzy ignored me and continued eating. "Evan, you've finally come down, have some breakfast."
She pushed a plate of pancakes and scrambled eggs towards an empty spot at the table. Dropping myself down into the chair I stare down at the food while my stomach growled in anticipation. I reached for the syrup, pouring a decent amount over the pancakes. I like a lot of syrup. Izzy simply stared at me with disgust in her eyes.
"I need you to give your sister a ride your dad and I need to go to work." My mother stood up, wiping her mouth with a napkin, before planting a big kiss on our foreheads, walking towards the door. My eyes widened in surprise when Izzy laughed out. Opening my mouth to speak up I quickly close it, knowing I already had lost this battle.
"Alright."
Eating the last pit of my pancake, I grab my bag and walk outside. I didn't care about waiting for Izzy, she knew I had to drive her and obviously didn't care to tell me. The sun glared down on us making me feel sweaty-too sweaty and I absolutely despised it. Izzy grabbed my keys from my hand and quickly ran over to my 2017 red fusion. Groaning out I jog over to her. "Izzy! Come on already, it's too hot for this." Whining out, she frowned at me before dropping herself into the car. "Let's drive around for the day, that seems better than going" She shrugged her shoulders, looking through the car for a snack while I sat in the driver's seat slowly.
I started the car, backing slowly out of the driveway. "Nope, it's the first day plus I miss Amy" She groaned loudly before leaning the seat back all the way. "But you saw her all summer" Laughing quietly to myself I drive down the road while Izzy continued to whine about how she hated high school already. It only took about fifteen minutes before we made it to Everwest High. Pulling into the parking lot she complained about having no friends. "Izzy you'll be fine." Smiling I turn the car off before opening the door. She looks around uncertain if she should trust my words, then her eyes sparkle and a big smile spread across her face. She goes off running into the crowd before jumping into her friends' arms.
With a frown on my face, I walk into the school. Of course, she was fine, she gets along with everyone. A sharp pain shoots up my back as something collides with it, letting a groan slip past my lips.
Turning slowly I look at the ground, a small book sits open. Are you kidding me?
Glancing back up Amy stood there, bag on the floor with a smirk on her face. I stretch my arms out, she smiles running up to me.She jumped into my arms while I wrap them around her I do a small spin.
With a big smile on my face I put her down she looks me up and down. "Did you do your hair?" Shaking my head she laughs, making my face heat up. "You should tie it up" Gasping I put my hand to my mouth, acting surprised. I grab the rubber band off my wrist, fixing my hair. She grabs my arm and drags me to our new lockers, somehow we always end up next to each other.
