"Hey, mom?"

"yes, Luke?"

"can I take the car today?"

"yes, like just don't crash it."

"I won't."

"have a good first day."

"thanks, mom."

Today was my last first day of school, I was a senior. I was so happy it was going to be my last year. I grabbed my bag and headed downstairs. I walked out the front door and headed to the car.

I started the car and drove off to Calum's house, it wasn't a long drive so I didn't plug in my phone to listen to music.

I soon pulled up in front of Calum's house and saw he walked out with another boy. "Hey Luke, can my friend Michael join us?" I really didn't know Michael he always kept to himself, so I reluctantly let Michael sit in my back seat.

I asked Michael what he listens too and he quietly mumbles 'green day' so I plugged in my phone and quietly played some green day since it was only seven am.

Michael smiled in the back seat, which made me smile. I never really seen Michael smiled before, and it made me happy that I made him smile.

We pulled up at school, and I parked my car. I grabbed my bag from the back seat, and Calum and Michael got out. I felt a tap on my shoulder and saw Michael looking at me.

"Thanks for playing green day, you probably don't like them, but it meant a lot." He smiled. "You're welcome, and I love green day Mikey!"

"Wait am I allowed to call you that?" I mumbled. "Yeah, of course, I also was wondering if I could sit with you and Calum at lunch?" He said.

"Of course Michael, you seem like a really nice guy." I smiled. "Thank you, I'll see you around." He said walking away.

I walked inside the school, and went to my locker, trying to avoid all the students making out, and people who just looked scary, and by that, I mean all the people who are high at school, and start fights.

I grabbed my books, for my first three periods, and headed off to my first period. This period didn't last long since it was just an attendance, and a morning talk.

I sat down, in the bleachers of the gym surrounded by a ton of seniors, juniors, and sophomores. The freshmen were in another set of bleachers.

The attendance started, and I heard the shouting of students. I heard Michael's name be called, and a loud here was heard. Everyone turned to face Michael, and he blushed slightly before going back to his planner.
