I hugged my sister right before walking off towards my first class of the day. The bells had already rung so everyone was already in class and the halls were empty minus the kids who obviously didn't care enough to rush to class or were just skipping. I arrived at my classroom door and peeked through the little window. I saw that the teacher was taking attendance and no one seemed to be paying much attention. I sighed with a bit of relief as I hoped I could slip in and talk to the teacher without drawing too much attention to myself. I slowly turned the door knob and opened the door, entering the class. As soon as I'd stepped inside, I knew my original thought of slipping in undetected was a clear fantasy since the entire class stopped whatever it was they were doing to stare at me. I gave a friendly smile and made my way to the teacher who was also staring at me. She smiled warmly and said......
??- Hi, you must be new. I'm Mrs. Brent
AM- Amaryllis
MB- Beautiful name
AM- Thanks (smiles wide)
MB- Welcome to Aice Global Perspectives And Advanced Placement Seminar
AM- Thanks, glad to be here
MB- May I have a look at your schedule?
AM- Sure
I handed her my schedule and she looked it over. Her eyes widened a bit and I said....
AM- Is something wrong?
MB- Not at all, it's just......how old are you?
AM- 15
MB- You know this class is usually for Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors
AM- I didn't know that
MB- Well yeah which is why I'm surprised to see them place a Freshman here
AM- Well, I was already on this track before I transferred and I've taken the other classes I needed to take so this was next
MB- I see, very impressive
AM- Thank you
She smiled at me and handed me my schedule. She said......
MB- Well, go on and have a seat wherever you like. There's plenty of space.
AM- Alright
I gave her one last smile before making my way to the first seat I saw in the fourth row towards the middle. Mrs. Brent gave us our assignment and sat at her desk, typing away at her computer. I put my headphones on my ear before scrolling through my music and looking for something to listen to. I finally decided on "10k"-Tee Grizzley and pressed play as I did my work.
30 minutes later......
I felt as though there were eyes on me as I worked. I looked around and came across a small group of people watching me and whispering. I looked at them with confusion before rolling my eyes and going back to my work.
End of class.......
The bell rang and I grabbed my stuff, getting up and making my way out the classroom. I started to walk to my next class and, as I was looking at my schedule, suddenly I hit the floor. I looked up to see the cutest guy ever smiling down at me. He said......
??- My bad, beautiful. You okay?
AM- I'm fine
??- Good, precious cargo.....wouldn't wanna damage anything
I smiled lightly as he picked up my belongings and handed them to me before saying.....
??- Could I get your name?
AM- Amaryllis
??- Gorgeous just like you
AM- Thanks
The second bell rang and I said.....
AM- I got to go
I dashed off before he could introduce himself. I hoped to see him later.
Lunch Time......
The bell rang for lunch and I got up, making my way to my locker. I put my stuff inside and grabbed my stuff for my afternoon classes as I saw my sister making her way towards me. We exchanged smiles as she opened her locker and put her stuff inside. I said......
AM- You going home after this?
A- Nah, I'm probably gonna help out some teachers and in the office. Then, imma run a few errands and swing back around to come get you
AM- Bet
A- Lunch?
AM- Don't mind if I do
We smiled at each other and locked arms, making our way into the cafeteria. We caught some attention as we walked to the food lines. I decided to eat a burrito, two hard shell tacos, and a large Dr. Pepper and Adrianna grabbed a grilled cheese, French fries, a fruit salad, and a large mango pineapple smoothie. We walked over to where the tables were and I spotted an empty one close to the group from earlier that was staring and whispering in class. I followed my sister towards that very table and we took a seat. As we sat, the same group reverted right back to their staring crap. I said.....
AM- Ugh here we go
A- Did I miss something?
AM- It's nothing.....just them
A- Who?
I nodded my head in their direction and she looked over to see them watching us. She rolled her eyes and spoke up......
A- Excuse me, is there a reason you can't take your eyes off my sister and me? Yes, we're cute.....no, that doesn't mean stare and whisper. Eat your damn food!
They quickly looked away and I laughed at her. She smiled at me and we continued to eat, taking food off each other's plates and sharing our drinks. As we were conversing, I noticed the guy I had bumped into earlier. He was walking with a few guys and they were making their way over to that same group of people. Adrianna followed my gaze and said.....
A- He's cute (smirks)
AM- Don't even start
A- I'm just saying
He caught our gaze and smiled, walking over as another guy followed. I saw Adrianna frown at the other guy and said.....
AM- Who's he?
A- Some guy who was hitting on me earlier.....non factor
AM- (mockingly) he's cute
A- I bet ya ass walk home today
I burst out laughing and she threw a fry at me as the guys got closer. They both took a seat and the one I bumped into spoke.....
??- We meet again beautiful
AM- It appears so
J- Hey Adrianna
A- Jaden
AM- I don't believe I caught your name
??- Trioan (Pronounced: Trowan)
AM- Well, um, you already know me
T- That I do
AM- This is my sister, Adrianna
A- Nice to meet you
T- Likewise
J- I'm Jaden
T- My best friend
J- Hey
AM- Hi, I'm Amaryllis
J- You're just as beautiful as your sister....if you don't mind me saying
AM- Why thank you.....although I'm pretty sure I'm prettier (smirks)
A- Bitch you thought
She flicked up her middle finger and I laughed hard as the boys laughed as well. We all sat together and got to know each other some more.
45 minutes later......
The bell signaling the end of lunch rang and we all got up, grabbing our stuff and throwing out our trash. Jaden said......
J- Alright bro, I'm heading to get some last minute stuff for tonight, you coming?
T- You know it
AM- What's going on tonight?
T- We're throwing a back to school party
AM- Sounds fun
J- You should come. I already invited your sister
A- And I told you I have homework to do
AM- Don't listen to her, we'll be there
A- You'll be there, don't do that "we" shit like I agreed
AM- Like I said, don't listen to her. We'll see y'all later
Trioan smiled at me and said....
T- I hope so
I smiled back and waved goodbye as he kissed my cheek and headed off towards the exit. Jaden smiled at Adrianna and said.....
J- Can't wait to see you later, gorgeous
He winked at her and jogged off behind Trioan. I smiled at her and giggled as she said....
A- He ain't seeing shit.....I'm taking my ass to bed after I finish this homework. No party for me
AM-We'll see about that
A- Alright bitch you keep playing and you gon be walking ya ass home fr
I laughed at her and hugged her tight before running off to class as she walked towards the office and the bell signaling class rang once again.
