I get another email, this one is much more concerning; isn't it funny how technology can bring people so close, people, who wouldn't have been friends before. I have seen you slowly go insane, I have watched you try to convince yourself that everything is ok, but you can't escape me. I am everywhere yet I am nowhere. be careful who you talk to
*shudder* slam the laptop shut and call my mom. "Hey mom, thanks for the computer you sent me, really coming in handy," I say shakily. "Umm, honey. I never sent you a computer, are you feeling ok?" "Oh crap," I say as I hang up the phone.
I jog to the police station and thrust my computer into their hands. "Could you see if someone has hacked into this computer please?" I say."Also, here is the note that came with it. I just called my mom and she didn't send this." They look at me as if to say, ma'am, you're crazy why should we trust you but they take the computer anyway, I follow them back and almost immediately they say "we need to talk. I don't mean to scare you or anything but this is the most hijacked computer I've ever seen. And this camera has been wired so that it's literal only purpose is to do surveillance.
My heart is racing and it's becoming hard to breathe. I grab my chest and hold on tight. I was right.
