"Am I ever going to have a dream and you not be in it, waiting for me?" I say laying in my bed my arm over my face. I can tell he's sitting in the chair again, I can sense him, almost feel him.
"I come when I please." I can hear the smugness in his voice, he's just toying with me.
"Screw off."
"You'd like that wouldn't you?"
"Very much so." I can hear rain tapping away on the roof roof. "So... will you?"
"Should I? I like this small wooden chair, it's nice, a little small but nice."
"Just let me sleep, please."
"You are asleep, this is a dream."
"Then let me dream peacefully."
"I'm not peacefully, what am I doing to disrupt your dreams?"
"Being here!" I groan and turn over onto my chest.
"Aw, now you've hurt my feelings. Just kidding, I haven't felt emotions in years."
"Good to know." My voice is muffled from the pillow and I throw a thumbs up.
"Did my pet give you any trouble?"
"Your pet? You mean the thing that tried to eat me?"
"Your welcome for stopping that by the way."
"Oh yes, thank you for stopping what you caused."
"I did not cause that."
"What do you mean?" I turn over slightly.
"I did not bring them into this realm, this was all you and your little girlfriend."
"She's not my girlfriend, and how did we bring them here."
"Honestly I don't entirely know, I just know that you created a crack that allowed me and my pets to enter through. Well at least partially."
"Partially?"
"Yes, partially, we're not really here."
"What?"
"Well they only make themselves seem by those who they want to. And I can only enter the dreamworld."
"But I heard you, when you stopped that thing from eating me, were you not really there?"
"No."
"That's it?" I turn over onto my back to face him.
"What's it?"
"You just said you could only cross over into the 'dreamworld' but you were there but not really."
"Yes." I sit up running my hands through my hair. He raises and eyebrow and crosses his legs, right firmly over the left, fingers clasped together.
"Could you elaborate?"
"My presence here is not like my pets, I can only cross through the dreamworld. When I noticed that one of them nearly killed you"
"It didn't nearly kill me."
"Well I was only able to speak to the two of you telepathically, but not physically cross over."
"So that's how I heard your voice?"
"Yes."
"But it sounded like it was out loud, not coming from my head."
"Well speaking to two different beings at once telepathically, it may come out different."
"What are you?"
